Dr. Strangelove
Any number of war movies and westerns made in the 50's and 60's

Growing up, I loved watching Dennis the Menace and The Andy Griffith Show. I wanted to live in a small town like those. I also like watching the old You Bet Your Life shows with Groucho Marx. For British comedy, I'd have to go with Dad's Army and 'Till Death Do Us Part. Those run into the mid 70's but started over fifty years ago.

I don't think anything good really existed before 1980 for my taste. None of the movies or tv shows hold up when i try to watch.
