Damn y'all drive like grannies. That's not fast at all. Guarantee you it was in an area designed to be a speed trap. Our speed limits need updating to 2020 standards. It's not like we're rolling around in 1960's vehicles that can't stop or go a decent speed safely. 90% of speed limits are for revenue generation anyway. They can claim safety all they want, but watch how THEY drive when offduty in their cars in that location. If we did away with making police officers revenue generators first, then a lot of this friction would go away. But then we'd have to see govt's manage their money better also.
Frik speed traps and limits and the corrupt system that lets half the 'right' people off who apparently are above the law.

Might be able to plead nolo contendre in exchange for another charge.
I had a ticket after a decade+ without one, and they offered me that plea. They changed the charge to too fast for conditions, and I paid $270, and nothing appeared on my insurance or record. It is good every 5 years, I think? (this was in Georgia)

No matter what you do, say, serve or pay, a "ticket" will never go away.
I got a stop sign ticket a few years ago. and the cop house said it would go away if I did an on line course, but if I got another one in 5 years, I would have to pay the full fine on that one.
Well if it goes away, how do they know 5 years from now that I had a previous ?
Your record never goes away.......

You're guilty and got caught. Pay the fine and stop speeding, dickhead.

Do you drink with the DA or know someone who does?
The real facts about tickets is insurance companies do not run MVR's unless you have an at-fault accident, add drivers or autos to policy. At one point in my life i probably had 5 in one year and none were caught my the Good Neighbor, actually had the safe driving discount. My 99/45 reduced to non-time served didn't go on my record and i had to get bailed out on that one. DA thought is was pretty funny watching me squirm in his office.

Article 894. Pay court cost and if don’t get a moving violation in 6 months it is expunged.

Skirt the law or seek alternative measures of justice? I choose the latter.

Where did you get the ticket and by which agency? That matters a lot.

Not true. Any traffic accidents or violations stay on your record for 5 years. DWI/DUI is 10 years.

If you heat the edges of the top of a jar using warm water, it makes it easier to open.

Short answer is unless you know someone in the area that the ticket was written youre going to have to pay it. Its too much over to throw out unless the judge is just ridiculously lenient. If you call and tell them youre willing to pay the fine you just dont want it to go against insurance they will more than likely move it to a nonmoving. Thats the best you can hope for.
