Cocaine use should have been a punitive discharge (bad conduct or dishonorable).

BCD only happens from a courts martial. I had to look it up myself. I've known people go who got kicked out for drug charges and were lucky to even get a general as if it's non-judicial its up to the CO.

Pretty much. Let's face it, if you didn't get an honorable discharge, you're a shitbag.

It falls under the category of “Other the Honorable” conditions, which most drug discharges fall under. With that comes denial of Veterans benefits. Those can be appealed at a later date , but that usually doesn't happen. He was an Officer And drug charges Are treated with zero tolerance.

It’s BS but that mirrors my experience. I doubt Hunter needed any pull to get a general discharge, even for cocaine.

They handed those out like candy in the early 80s. Employers stopped paying attention to them.

It's when you get a BCD but make concessions so it doesn't show up as a felony.

It’s what children of elites get when the same charge of dishonorable discharge is applied to any other service member for the same infraction.

NPC news is an absolute fricking joke.

Apparently, you can get jobs that pay $50k/mo jobs from Ghina and $3.5M payments from Russian mayors.

Yup, other than honorable is the most common for drug use, no one gets a dishonorable unless he was a drug/sex trafficking ring leader. Can easily see Hunter getting it bumped to admin for his “drug addiction” medical diagnosis or however they played it

Regardless, an OTHC discharge is pretty fricking bad. You get no veterans benefits. You're still considered a shitbag

Evidently he only served one weekend, as such he wouldn’t even be considered a veteran. He really contributed nothing to this country.
