She doesn’t care if they do that. She is bound by her convictions and is willing to destroy that city so she can move up the Democratic ranks. She is fighting Lightfoot and De Blasio in being the worst elected official in any major city.

Latoya Cantrell is a dictator who is putting New Orleans in a chokehold so she can get a federal bailout by the end of all this. Covid-19 is making some of these radical leftists totally batshit crazy

Latoya takes her orders from the DNC and it has backfired. Her principles will change after the election. She's just another bad Demo mayor in charge of a city, they are a dime a dozen.

Time to have a republican run state. If this shutdown doesn't make it happen, it never will. We are surrounded by republic run states that are at least somewhat open if not fully opened. This is ridiculous

then you have to do something with EBR Parish, Orleans parish.. both who have a high % of blacks and white liberals. Moorehouse parish I think is another one. It's the stupid arse urban centers that kill the vote. Plus some shady shite went down in Jefferson Parish last time.

Excellent. Anything to throw egg on the face of LaToya is ok in my book.

LSU, however, has to keep in mind the condition and abuse of the turf with 2 teams playing, especially back to back (sat/sun) games.

New Orleans mayor claims (incorrectly) that no NFL fixed-roof facility allows fans

quote:

The Saints want to have more fans present for home games at the Superdome. The New Orleans mayor has yet to allow it. In supporting her position, Mayor LaToya Cantrell makes an inaccurate claim regarding other NFL venues. “While the Saints’ request for a special exception to the city’s Covid-19 guidelines remains under consideration, allowing 20K people in an indoor space presents significant public health concerns,” Cantrell said on Twitter. “At present, no NFL stadium in the country with a fixed-roof facility is allowing such an exception. We will continue to monitor the public health data, but cannot set an artificial timeline for how and when conditions may allow for the kind of special exemption being requested.” However, the Cowboys have a fixed-roof facility, and they’ve hosted more than 20,000 fans for each of their three home games. The Falcons, Texans, and Colts also have had fans present despite playing in domed stadiums. Although each facility has a retractable roof, an open-air configuration was not mandated for any of the venues. Besides, all NFL stadiums with fixed or retractable roofs have state-of-the-art ventilation systems aimed at handling aerosol terrorist attacks. These buildings are, for all intents and purposes, open-air structures. Some believe that the Saints are exploring the possibility of playing home games in Baton Rouge to leverage New Orleans into allowing them to have fans at the Superdome. The reality, however, is that the Saints are under a ton of pressure from fans, sponsors, and partners to get more people at games. If that can’t happen in the Superdome, the Saints have no choice but to explore their options.

All of the tickets should be sold to New Orleans zip codes or Saints season ticket holders. Baton Rouge as a whole didn't give a shite the last time the Saints played there in what was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity. They didn't show up then, and aren't deserving of tickets now.

90,000 people that fill up Tiger Stadium aren't all from Baton Rouge, they're from Mississippi and New Orleans and all over the state, same for the Superdome. Don't act like it should be "no problem" to have filled Tiger Stadium after Katrina. Just because it didn't get smashed like NO and MSGC doesn't mean it didn't negatively affect BR, and people as a whole weren't showing up because they didn't want to give Benson any money because he was trying to move the team.

The Saints are the Gulf Souths team. There are fans that drive in from Houston, North LA, Mississippi, lower Bama and as far as Destin for home games.
