The point is that ,even as minor a detail as it is, the lengths the news goes to sensationalize headlines. On a basic level it's pretty disturbing you can't even believe the "news" anymore.

I don't believe this even made the news. What I quoted is off the BRPD press release, verbatim. Evidently there was some reason they are calling it robbery. It only takes a small threat or for the victim to feel threatened for it to escalate from shoplifting to robbery.

Was this a troll or just ignorance? You can try on a $30-50k diamond Necklace or $10k watch at any Lee Michaels. Now granted the Mall of La store is scaled back compared to other locations, but Lee Michaels isn't a trashy place to get jewelry.
