Meh... sometimes during an intercept practice it happens. You can slip from Mach .98 to 1.00 real quick just by climbing

I spent my early childhood 10 miles from an AFB base. I always thought the sounds of fighter planes were a common thing until I moved away.

I live near RAF Lakenheath in England USAF F15s, happens a few times a year here, gotta practice! hah. Never bothers me, but then again people around here are generally used to it.
