So the Biden Campaign and the NYTs with the rest of the MSM are setting Trump up on taxes.

Obvious coordination.
So Chris Wallace is going to ask Trump a question about his taxes probably based on an accusation made in the most recent NYTs "get Trump" hit piece against.
It my understanding is that in the tax year that the NYTs article was based on Trump actually paid millions in income taxes. However the NYTs reported he only paid $750. The point was Trump only owed $750 but paid millions which was credited the following years. NYTs propagated fake news by mixing up the words paid and owed.
Another point is people do not understand the difference in net worth and income and the media purposely takes advantage of that ignorance to hurt Trump.
But Biden is going to charge Trump with something relating to his taxes once Wallace brings up the subject. Trump will respond and the NYTs will "fact check" him tomorrow because the NYTs has illegally obtained his tax returns.
When Biden goes after Trump on his taxes, it's a trap. Trump has to know this.
On a side note who at the IRS illegally leaked his tax returns to the NYTs?

There's a reason why Trump hasn't commented on this.
He's gonna drop a truth bomb on this during the debate for maximum effect.

Wasn’t necessarily the IRS.
If his little shite of a niece had access for some reason, that could be the source. Same deal if it was a staffer at his tax attorney’s office.

Obviously been some serious Twitter muzzling in place.

They are going to pretend like it is and try to convince the public it is.
“OMGWTFBBQ! He got millions in deductions!!! Tax evasion!!!”
“... those are property depreciation schedules. Perfectly normal for a large developer.”

Obvious black helicopter/tinfoil time. Everything is freaking conspiracy.

Has the IRS accused Trump of not paying his legally owed taxes?
If not, he is just following the rules that people like Joe Biden have kept in place.

Please explain the "conspiracy"

Completely loses affect when joe Biden has been there since 1973 and has done nothing to change it. 1973 that’s older than a ton of voters

Weird that Biden's campaign had an ad about the tax shite ready to go the day the news came out. Can't quite put my finger on how that could have happened

The average American (or at least the dumb ones), do not understand taxes at all. The MSM and Biden are hoping they will look at this as another OMB moment and think he's evading taxes. Such a clear setup that anyone with the slightest experience as an adult, will see right through.

This is going to be so easy for him to shoot down. I can't wait actually.
Posted on 9/29/20 at 3:33 pm to GumboPot
Plus Biden Harris waited til the day trumps taxes were leaked to release their own

There was nothing misleading about it. He made estimated payments in those years but the liabilities got wiped by business credits. He carried forward the overpayment to be applied against future years. At the end of the day, his tax liability in 2016 and 2017 was apparently virtually nil (not that there is anything wrong with that). This "misinformation" angle is manufactured non-sense.

The taxes are a nothing burger. No one that wasn't already going to vote for Biden gives a shite.
Your average voter doesn't even understand sales taxes, much less the complicated income tax structure of a multi-billion dollar real estate empire, with depreciation, carryover, etc.
They could catch him in an outright lie, and it still wouldn't matter. It's too complicated a topic to convey what is truth and what is not.

Just like the year the tax cuts went into effect, there were articles going around with the headline "Refunds are Down"...buried in the actual article were admissions that around 80% of taxpayers actual tax liability was down for the year. People didn't understand that their refunds were down because the Govt was holding less of their money

Bide was in the Senate for many years, that makes him responsible for much of the tax code that allowed Trump to lower his tax liability. Trump should put that back in his face.

I hope he has the Times article in his pocket with the parts about what he actually paid highlighted so he can hammer the point.

Taxes was not one of the debate topics announced. Will be interesting to see how it gets worked in.
