Or he is bougee and doesn't realize what you can actually get for items on the second hand market

There are two AWESOME helmet brands left-

Arai and Shoei. Both are handmade in Japan.

There are some euro brands that try, but no one comes close IMO.

The issue is going to be the build date- You should replace your helmet every 10 years- but, if well taken care of, I think I would rather have a aged Arai or Shoei vs. a new HJC.

That helmet was close to $1000 new.

That’s why I told her she shouldn’t buy them. You don’t know if they’ve been in a crash (even tho no visible damage). If I road bikes, I wouldn’t buy a second hand helmet

Bingo- I ride with a brand new Shoei, but back in the day- I ran Bonneville with a borrowed Shoei and I am nearly 100% sure it was bought used.

Funny how time wisens one up.

There was a garage sale today, near LSU (off Burbank). He had a ton of comics including about a dozen silver age Spiderman comics. Four of those were graded, including a #40 (Death of the Goblin), graded 8.5.
He wanted $800 just for that one comic.
I thought about offering him $1000 for all the Spidey’s, but decided not to.
That same comic graded 8.5 sells for $550 on eBay.
