He’s is no doubt a top 3 basketball player of all time. He exceeded almost unattainable hype coming out of high school. He’s a champion.

I don’t know many intelligent people that believe him to be anything other than insufferable.

Even people like me that really liked and defended him can no longer tolerate him.

I can’t think of a more unlikeable super star.

Not sure Drew is on that level of international superstardom, but he’s certainly an insufferable prick.

Everything changed after "tDecision". He was just a great player who was a role model to kids, stayed out of trouble, and just seemed like an all-around great dude. From that point on he's been an insufferable douche.

Wrong a many levels.

For starters:
Jordan
Magic
Kobe
Bird
Isiah
Dr. J.
LeBron

And they are all more likable than him.

Ever? I mean OJ slaughtered some people so idk.

Guess it really depends on what grinds your gears more. Slicing people open or spicy political takes

This has always proven to be a subjective topic. The people who have claimed that LeBron is extremely unlikeable are people who never liked him before in many cases, and many of those same people have been known for some of the most irrational takes regarding LeBron.

I was a huge LeBron fan and know many others that were as well. In fact, I know more people that used to like him and don’t now, than that never liked him.

you're going to have to define superstar because I can think of a lot of pieces of shite that are much worse. Is/was OJ a superstar?

Ty Cobb went way out of his way to be an arsehole. But, he was a man’s man and was beloved by many for his ways.

LeBron is a constant victim, whether on the court, faking hate crimes or complaining about being hunted in America.

No. Twice as many people like him than hate on him. And I'm obviously not talking about TD posters.

The public likes to tear people down. If there's no easy way, people will find something. They tried with Tebow, they tried with LeBron.

The same people that shite on LeBron for "China" or whatever will vote for Trump even though all his merch has been made in China

I liked LeBron. Seemed like a good dude and did a ton of great work with kids. Seemed to genuinely care about Cleveland/Akron and want to give back. I still think he's those things. However, he has a MASSIVE following and there's a responsibility that comes with that. Pushing misinformation and false narratives to those followers is "problematic" to use a 2020 term. We can all sit here and pretend like it's no big deal, but his comments lately fuel the hate for police and that hateful mindset makes it more likely for Floyd/Blake/Sterling type situations to happen, not less likely. Not to mention the riots. Does anybody think that rhetoric is going to lead to anything getting better?

He was, but he's a little different. OJ was very well liked by the general public, including after he retired. It took two brutal murders for people to turn on him.

People were already getting annoyed by LeBron as he was entering the prime of his playing career.
