I actually disagree. A hearing allows the democrats to act like jackasses right before the election. It definitely would be a mistake to skip it

Republican Presidents have appointed several moderates and even more liberals to the Court.
There will be a hearing and there will be vetting. As it should be.

I agree Pelican. Mentioned on another thread. Would love to see it go straight to a vote. But I think the benefit of them attacking a mother with seven kids, two adopted from Haiti, christian, feeds the homeless cannot be discounted.
I hope heels up shows up and goes with the same tired "answer yes or no" and the reply is "yes or no", now stop the childish courtroom performance and ask a legitimate question or remain silent".

No proceed and let the Democrats drive the final nail in their own coffin. What are they going to do? Not show up? Grill a Catholic female over her faith? That will play well with Hispanics. The reason the "Blue Wave" didn't materialize the way they were predicting is because of the Kavanaugh hearing. This is going to be a bad look for the Democrats no matter how they play it. Why would you skip past the hearing, allow Kamala and others an out?

One of the interesting ideas on Rush was that if the Dems can't block the appointment they can at least make the girl cry if there are hearings. That will energize their base and increase turnout. Of course it will also disgust all the moderates. They don't care. Just look at how they support destroying cities. Base loves it. Everyone else hates it.
