Did the CIA kill Kiki Camarena?

Has anyone watched The Last Narc on Amazon prime? I highly recommend it.
It’s a documentary surrounding the murder of DEA agent Kiki Camerena in Mexico in the 80s. I am familiar with the case having watched the first season of Narcos (Mexico) on Netflix.
After watching it, I believe fully that the US government was either directly involved or knows what happened to Camarena and is hiding it intentionally.
It provides pretty compelling evidence that the CIA was trafficking drugs through Latin and South America to support the Contras. Between the reporter in LA and the Berry Seal stuff, I think it’s almost undeniable at this point.
We need to wipe out that entire snake pit in D.C. and that includes Langley.

Maybe, maybe not.
Certainly wouldn’t be surprising if they really did

What remains unknown? The whole thing was recorded. There’s even a Supreme Court decision about kidnapping the doctor that did it and sending him to the US for trial.

Did the CIA kill Kiki Camarena?
He was killed by Felix Gallardo and Rafael Caro-Quintero.
There's a good book on the subject, by a journalist named Elaine Shannon. It's called Desperados.

Yeah, they have always known what happened. What is this nonsense.

I think the CIA had a mole, but was powerless to stop it... I think Rafa had him killed, more so than Felix
Rafa was a bad frickin dude

Smoke and Mirrors by Dan Baum is an excellent read if you’re into this kind of stuff.

I believe back in those days federal LEOs did work very well together in most instances and certainly didn't do much coordinating. I'm not the tin foil guy but to me it seems plausible that the CIA's activities in the region were not quite on the up and up, to be hidden from even fellow countrymen LEOs. So CIA guy, who was by all accounts a go to guy for high level officials, may very well have been seeking to know anything and everything the DEA might have known about CIA activities in that region.

I think it was more about him being a huge threat to Felix, who was insanely ambitious. Did the CIA know it was coming? I can't imagine they didn't.

As a sidenote, the person who scouted locations for Narcos was murdered while out touring a potential site in Mexico.....the series must have been a little too close to the real facts for a few people.
When they were depicting Carlos Salinas as directing who would be the next president I cringed, thats all true, and the drug running is at the highest levels of govt. I thought to myself, whoever is doing this series believes they have "artistic immunity", unfortunately that does not work south of the border.
They never touched on Carlos Slim, one of the richest men in the world. When Salinas was President he privatized the bank of Mexico, TelMex, etc, and somehow Slim ended up with all of it for a song. Many say he is a front man for Salinas. Carlos controls the phone companies in Mexico and central America, HUGELY profitable given all the illegals and legals calling home (bigger than the long distance business within Mexico). He controls the bank and huge foreign exchange in the name of US dollars, the lions share in drug money.
When Trump became president, the first person he visited with was not the President of Mexico.....but Carlos Slim. Trump knows who runs Mexico.
Know how the NYTimes hates Trump, guess who was the largest shareholder....Carlos Slim, he was so pissed about the idea of that wall. He was also a big supporter of hillary, go figure, she never turned away a dirty dollar for a deed.

Does it? There was a lot of innuendo.
I think they were connected to people who were involved in the Camarena hit.

George H W Bush was directly involved

Without a doubt in my mind. It pains me too, because it required a complete rethinking on my part to come to that conclusion. The CeyeA is an extra-Constitutional ops arm of the Deep State. I think they believe they’re right but that organization should have died before JFK. Unfortunately, they got him first. The CeyeA is always the bad guy, I’m afraid.

The CIA most likely played a part in the kidnapping and interrogation. Whether the CIA actually wanted him dead and killed him? I dunno, and may just be splitting hairs for the sake of discussion.

We will never know, but it’s entirely plausible.
Good watch for sure.
