She will probably still be listed as a Covid death.

quote:

The drama began with paramedics from the Southfield Fire Department arriving at a home in Southfield Sunday morning in response to a call for an unresponsive woman.

“When paramedics arrived, they found a 20-year-old who was not breathing,” Southfield Fire Chief Johnny Menifee said, according to WDIV-TV.

“The paramedics performed CPR and other life-reviving methods for 30 minutes,” he said. “Given medical readings and the condition of the patient, it was determined at that time that she did not have signs of life.”

Menifee said that because there was no indication of foul play, the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office was contacted and given the medical data about the woman.

“The patient was again determined to have expired and the body was released directly to the family to make arrangements with a funeral home of their choosing,” he said.

She was found still breathing after being taken to the James H. Cole Funeral Home in Detroit after 11:30 a.m., according to the station.

“Upon her arrival at the funeral home, our staff confirmed she was breathing and called EMS,” the funeral home employees told the station Monday.

Paramedics transported her to the hospital. Her condition there wasn’t divulged.

Jesus. Can you imagine the emotional roller coaster to learn a family member has died only to have the damn funeral home call and says umm hey she’s still alive?

Especially with her only being 20 years old. For a parent to lose a child that young is obviously devastating. Then just a couple of hours later to learn she isn't dead. Man I hope she gets better. Can you imagine if she ends up dying after all, again.

I've worked in a funeral home for a few years. By the time people get to us they are DEFINITELY dead, I can't even imagine the incompetence involved here by the medical personnel for a living person to arrive at a funeral home.

This is why they used to have wakes in the old days. The body would lie there for a couple of days while people made sure the body did not wake up. Sometimes they did. There is a condition where almost all signs of life are missing yet people are still alive. If you don't believe me, search out those stories of people that have been pronounced dead multiple times.
