For the first time in its history, the Indy 500 is being held in August and will be run without fans in attendance, due to the coronavirus pandemic. IndyCar and Indianapolis Motor Speedway owner Roger Penske will give the "start your engines" command and wrote to fans:

Thirty-three drivers. 200 laps. 500 miles. One bottle of cold milk. The only thing missing from this magical Indianapolis 500 mix is you. Don't miss out on another incredible edition of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 1:00 p.m. ET live on NBC.

Pole Sitter: Marco Andretti 231.068 mph 4 lap average
Pace Car is 2020 Corvette Stingray.

The Kentucky-built car will serve as the pace car for the Indy 500 on Aug. 23. It will mark the 17th time a Corvette has been used in the role since 1978. Chevrolet is one of two engine suppliers for the IndyCar series, along with Honda.
Greatest spectacle in Racing!
Pato O Ward looked pretty strong in Carb Day. I could see him pulling this one tomorrow. I am afraid Alonso car does not have the speed, wish he has a better car to get the triple crown in racing. Will Marco get rid of the Andretti jinx?
Pato or Rossi for the win.

I’d like to see Andretti do it, but I just don’t see it happening.

Is Montoya racing?
If so I'll root for him.

LOL. No. But Helio is still buzzing around the brickyard.
There is a lot of new young drivers that can drive.

800 left turns I believe.

So fill in a fair-weather fan. How long has Montoya been out of the circuit?

2017.
I’ll watch Indy Racing occasionally...but not like I do for F1.

Marco didn’t seem as good yesterday (Carb Day) in race trim. I’ll go with Scott Dixon. He’s been good in qualifying and race trim.

No, especially when he started to lose the steering wheel around the corner...Dixon does look strong.

Alonso. Just because I want other F1 guys to come try it. I want Hamilton to do at least 1 Indy 500.

I had no idea this was happening! I want to thank the OP for bringing this to my attention.
One more favor, please. Time and network?

IRL worked with Red Bull to bring the halo/screen...you will be seeing the device on F1 cars next year.
McLaren partnering with Arrow, they will be doing IRL for the future long term with Askew and Pato...Zac Brown has stated they want to be a presence at Indy.
Rumor that Porsche and maybe Ferrari may want to put cars in Indy in the next several years. Could that mean drivers like Seb or Kemi make a run at a race. Alonso said he will return when he is done driving for Renault.

Herta is who I want to win - Hinchcliffe is who will actually win.

I’m taking Newgarden. Something about Penske and Mears calling a race is magic there

Alonso will finish somewhere far higher than that shitbox deserves to run.

Alonso doesn't have the car this year. Hamilton probably sees the 500 like Schumacher did.
Dixon likely wins if not my money would be on Andretti. Hunter-Reay and Rossi have a shot too.

Boring is my prediction not because I don’t like it I think the leader will dominate and pull away
