If winning Indy made him a household name, or even popular, in the US then he would do it.

I’d love to see if Gibbs would let Kyle Bush run it. I know Ganassi let Kurt do it.
I doubt Gibbs will as he never let Stewart do it after moving to NASCAR.

I don't see Marco pulling it off. Andretti Autosport has won three of the last six Indy 500s, but Marco is never the guy leading the team. My primary rooting interest is to see an American who has never won the race to win. So I want to see Ed Carpenter or Conor Daly win. I don't think either has a good chance. Marco would be good too but I don't have any faith in him. Oh, and Graham Rahal should have a decent chance if he doesn't have his usual bad luck.
Dixon has to be the favorite. He and his team are just too good, and are firing on all cylinders this year.
But I will predict Takuma Sato for the win. I know he's easy to write off because he throws it away so often, but he's a proven Indy 500 winner, he came in 3rd last year on a late charge, and his qualy and carb day performances looked good.
This. Hamilton will never consider it. He's one of those wussie Euro racers who say it's too dangerous. Mansell and Alonso had F1 glory also but they didn't see Indy as beneath them. Alonso and Montoya are the modern versions of Foyt and Andretti. Respect.

Hamilton probably sees the 500 like Schumacher did.

I would like to see Ferrucci win it.
Indy has a great group of young drivers this year.

Winner: Dixon at 4/1, value Newgarden 10/1, long shot Palou 28/1 and Rahal at 30/1.

I don’t see anyone starting beyond the fourth row as having a shot. It will be too hard to pass mid pack.

Geezus, an hour and a half of TV coverage before the race starts. All that ceremony and no crowd. Sucks for everyone.

Bob Jenkins voice is just Indy Car racing
It’s a combo of 90’s rap/Pitbull/Bollywood music

Who will give the command? Will it be a Hullman or George? I’d hope not.
Mears should have 5 but Johncock got lucky
Mears spotting for Helio? I’d put him with Newgarden as a tactician. But I’m glad Montoya isn’t there to not spread Team Penske too thin
You know all 4 cars will run different strategies

The announcer meant to say that Marco is sitting on the pole of the 104th running of the Indy 500, but I think he said "...of the 2000... 2004th running of the Indianapolis 500!"

Penske will give the command.

I know but not since he went to IMSA. He’s been race tactics for the team I thought.
We need Jim and Purdue band
The pageantry along with significance of Memorial Day made this part so honored and necessary imo.

I feel for the fans who have been going to this wonderful event for their entire life. I wish they could be there. Hopefully the race is a helluva good one.

Can’t find the pre-race coverage in New Orleans. All I see is Hurricane coverage.
