The rest of the article is here but it’s behind a paywall. Supposedly went over expectations for us and a couple other disappointing bubble teams before next season.

You can tell when Lonzo is dialed in and playing with confidence, and when he's not.
When he's not, he doesnt' belong in the NBA.
WHen he does, he's an important piece to a team that can help them win.

ANyone that has watched him all season can probably tell if he's going to make or miss a three the second it leaves his hand. It's plain to see when he shoots with confidence.

Not sure whether that is speculation or inside information. I'm going with speculation.

Regardless, I do think there will be more turnover than people on here expected. This is multiple years of tinkering ahead of us.

I do hope we move on from Lonzo. He is who he is at this point.

I'm not sure that that is true. He's 22. Players grow until they are 26-28ish which is when they are at their peak.

And he has improved every year.

That being said, for the right deal I'd move him.

Lonzo’s a weird dude. He’ll talk shite to people blasting his play on twitter and then spend all off season making music videos.

I'm weary of reports where sources are body language experts.

Yeah that is what’s frustrating.

When he’s playing well and he’s shooting the three well he’s exactly what we neeed. A facilitator who can help stretch the floor.

When he isn’t shooting well it’s rough.

Also, can he dunk? He is 6’ 5” and I don’t remember him ever dunking.

Body language experts said Kawhi wouldn’t win in Toronto because he looked like he didnt care

He had a pretty memorable putback where he dunked all over Kenrich on accident

They aren't talking about Lonzo's body language in a press conference, or anywhere off the court. It's his on the court body language, followed by his shitty play.

Has Kawhi ever looked like he didn't care on the court?

I'd be even more weary of making big decisions based on 7 games after a 4 month layoff.

Isn't that just his normal demeanor? He looks checked out perpetually

That may be true, but Lonzo to me is not part of that equation. He's only 22 and getting better, despite him shitting the bed in the bubble.

Lonzo definitely has all star potential, and I’d like to keep him if he continues to develop, but at this point, I’d let him go for the right deal. If not, he has another year to show us he can be more consistent.

He didn't look checked out in the offseason. We saw tons of videos of him working on his shot and working out.
Not so much during the recent time off, and it showed on the court.

Well you’re not going to get much for Ball now. I mean he’s getting to be what he is now. Plus, he’s going to be old news when his brother gets drafted anyways.

If someone wants to give up something good for him, go for it. I just don't see him having much value.

Hold on to him and hope he improves.

Good he’s too inconsistent with his shot. Though yes he can improve he just has way too much to improve on as well for me to justify re-signing him for the money he thinks he’ll want. Can’t shoot free throws, on ball defense is pedestrian, can’t make lay ups, makes dumb passes.

I don't know about that. I think he's worth more right now than he was last offseason.
Teams finally saw that he can shoot. That was an unknown before.

Markelle Fultz still can't shoot, and was in a much much worst position than Lonzo currently is as far as on the court goes, and Orlando gave up their 2020 OKC first and 2019 Cleveland 2nd (33rd pick - Carson Edwards) for him along with Jonathon Simmons. Simmons was coming off his third year in the league where he upped his ppg to 14 so he wasn't some filler, although he's fallen off a cliff since then.

I don't see a 2021 Phoenix first with some protections on it and Rubio as being too much for Ball. Hell i don't think Griff would even like that, and would want more.
