i think the shelter issue is going to leave a good number of homeless/poor people dead and JBE is going to get some heat

And strangely, they're content with using buses out of Houston like this. 7:58 AM · Aug 26, 2020 from Texas, USA

I'm not seeing much rotation in any of those tornado warnings

You won't. They're quick spinups, they won't present that well on radar.

I haven't watched any media beside tropical Tidbits and this board and they didn't mention the insanity of 30 Mile's north.

That part of Louisiana is extremely low with rivers everywhere. It's 30 miles along the waterways, not everything within 30 miles of the coast. There's a sand ridge on the coast which is where Holly Beach, Rutherford Beach, etc. all are. Then the next twenty or so miles inland from the coast is all marsh. Essentially, the entirety of Cameron Parish is ALWAYS underwater. You have to go to Calcasieu Parish to really start getting out of marshland.

God can handle it but there’s a lot of things your body can’t handle. That’s like putting a loaded gun to your head and praying you don’t die when you pull the trigger

the shelter issue

Dumbest thing I’ve seen in a while.

We are saying you are better off riding it out with no shelter than being closer than 6 ft away from other people.

I won’t sleep at all tonight with al these tornados. In 1989 our house was hit by one when we lived in Shenedoah. Scared me shitless at the age of 8, to this day a tornado watches and warnings freak me out.
