Iowa just wrapped up spring HS sports (only state that kept going) here are the statistics

Seems Iowa is the only state with any sense/Balls....the Sweden of N. America I guess. They apparently tested the team when or if someone got flu like symptoms.
I would bet the players also avoided strip clubs.

I think there was a limit on attendance but it didn't seem to matter. Families still were able to see their kids play.
There are even pics from the Iowa state tourney:

Iowa HS baseball season ends tonight (only state where HS sports have taken place since pandemic).
It wasn’t exactly smooth sailing with Covid but:
- 94% of teams were unaffected
- 96% finished season
- all infections reportedly mild
- fans were allowed all season

So you're saying corn is the vaccine?

They certainly are a homogenous, European population.

The comparisons are vast.

The blonde mom could get it.

Iowa also has a pretty high obesity rate, 35% (but still lower than the national average of 42% amazingly.)
Yet it doesn't seem to be a factor at all.

Iowans are generally of high blood status- Scandinavian, German, dutch, etc.
Not a coincidence imo.

Really? You’re going with the pure/better blood theory?

South Dakota HS Athletic Association does not offer HS baseball as a summer sport, instead we do VFW Legion Ball. We've had an entire baseball season with the State Tournament this coming week.
Iowa's not the only state that has gone about it's business BAU. Hell, we're still holding fairs and the Sturgis Rally is a go.

It's amazing how many of the heartland governors have handled their states better than the southern govs.

I’m guessing the governors of these states aren’t Sleepy Joe supporters.

Oh don't worry... she is getting railed on against by these new found self hating woke white folk in this state.
It's amazing really, the white guilt is astonishing by some people who haven't even barely interacted with a black person. Will be fun to taste their tears in early november.

Yeah, we didn't resume high school baseball on the east side of Nebraska. But summer league has been going on.
We only have 4-H events at the county fair here in the metro this year. At my hometown out in the panhandle, they tried to cancel the rodeo and fair and the town protested for 2 days until kept it on
Iowa/Dakotas/Nebraska have appeared like life as normal for a few months now

The part that makes Iowas resuming such a big deal is that it’s High School sports. Every other state in the country is acting like bringing kids back into the schools is a doomsday scenario, with fall athletics in jeopardy or already cancelled.
Meanwhile it looks like we have an example of a high school association who has already finished a season and did it rather successfully. This should be embarrassing to the other states/districts who won’t allow workouts for who knows how long...but unfortunately it won’t even make the news out here on the east coast

They could have kept playing college baseball for sure
