I just throw all my trash in the bed of my truck. If it flies out I consider it an act of God and carry no blame.
I don't really do that but lots of ignorant trash in Louisiana does. Pisses me off when I see something fly out of a truck bed.

I grew up poor, but my mom instilled values nonetheless. For instance, being nice is free - do it often. Or, only trashy people throw trash. I’ve taught my kids the same values. When we go out to tailgate my younger ones pick up trash in the area while we unload all the gear. I jumped a women’s arse a couple years ago for emptying one of those car wash trash bags on the concrete. She literally hit the garbage can with her door when she opened it to dump the bag.

Louisiana is the worst with this. I attribute it to Marsi Gras and Tiger Football Tailgating. Not kidding.

I’ve said it on here before that the chief reason as to why is because of Mardi Gras. Where else is throwing trash onto the street celebrated, and also an understood fact that someone else will pick it up for you? It’s just permeated the culture here to where nobody cares and it’s done year-round.

I live alongside a highway I pick up trash daily from stupid littering fricks. If I ever witness the crime I will probably go to jail for manslaughter I’m dead serious

I travel across the country for work. Louisiana doesn’t have so much the higher percentage of littering, it’s that everyone seems to drive a pickup truck and thinks it’s ok to leave trash in the truck bed. Do they ever wonder what happens to that trash? I can tell you where it goes.
We also don’t run our street sweepers except after parades.

Have you ever ridden the trails at Tower Trax up there north of hammond? My God it's disgusting to see the litter of cans and other garbage on every square inch of every trail through there.

Leaving a shopping center yesterday, 20 mph a line of several cars approaching a traffic light to exit to the main drag, the car in front of me casually tosses a Big Gulp cup onto the clean well maintained street.
In front everyone, they just didn't care.
I was astonished at how normal this practice is to that jack arse.

One of our biggest problems litter-wise is that we have 200 rain days each year. The litter just gets washed down into the storm water drainage system, which puts it out of sight. And another huge problem is that, unlike pretty much every other state, we have no system for skimming the trash out of the ditches before it enters the waterways. It collects on the bottom of every marsh and bayou and flows out to sea.
This part of our problem could be solved with a statewide water system fee of $2.00 per month. Florida does it and it collects the trash from the drainage system before it fills the waterways.

Lots of low IQ trashy people in this state. Other states have them too, it just seems they make up a bigger proportion of the population.
