I lived in both most of my life.
It depends on where u live.
I would rank the places I lived like this:
Great places:
Ocean Springs
Oxford
Natchitoches
Sarepta
Good places:
Baton Rouge
New Orleans
Clinton
Franklinton
Ok:
Shreveport
Never again:
Lake Charles
Obviously I like small towns

I know a lot of plant baws that cross the state line every morning to work at the chemical plants along the river. So they must know something.

Having a home in both is the right answer....

South Mississippi and South Louisiana should really be one state, and North Louisiana and North Mississippi another state

I’d go
Bay St. Louis
Ocean Springs
Southaven
Oxford
Mandeville
Hattiesburg
Lafayette
Denham
Baton Rouge
New Orleans
Jackson

Live in MS, drive to plant in LA.
Most people drive an hour to work everyday as it is.

Hunting - MS
Fishing - LA
Obesity - tie
Shitty schools - tie
Food - LA
Louisiana wins by a narrow margin of victory.

We’re closer to the good fishing in LA than LA people are.

Bay St Louis, in Hancock Parish is like Ocean Springs when I grew up, they are sister cities. Even then we always got along.

Only thing better about Mississippi is the varied elevation.

And the taxes are about the same, if you can find a place with a good public school system both cheap places to live.
Louisiana has high Insurance rates
But Mississippi charges you 3 to 5k year a for a freakin car tag on a nice car etc.
Hunting and fishing are good to fantastic in both states by national standards but hunting is better overall in Mississippi, fishing in Louisiana

Lived in both.
