BSL is a great place to live, can’t comment on the rest of this state.

This.....Old town BSL is awesome. I grew up in New Orleans and lived in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Sugarland TX.. BSL is by far my favorite and I really enjoyed Lafayette. Fishing, boating, sailing, partying and relaxing. Can't really beat it. Oh and I can bet on sports.

I go back and forth between Louisiana and Mississippi being my favorite state. Certainly they are my top two simply because of the wonderful people and truly southern hospitality displayed in each state.

That being said, I want this tag to display on my truck here in Georgia (except during football season when it's all LSU).:

The argument being made is that Mississippi has just as good food, fishing, better hunting, lower taxes, lower crime rate and less corrupt politicians.

My answers are, in order: NO, nah, YEAH, yep, yep, politicians are scum everywhere.

Credentials: I was stuck in Mississippi.

I'd take Madison Mississippi over anywhere in Louisiana

I'd much rather live on the Northshore than Madison by a wide margin. Every building looking the same is weird af to me.

And when you leave the closest city to you is Jackson. Hard pass.

That is the point. You don't want the typical power line, wendys, taco bell look that you see at every interstate exit.

It's like some weird, nazi HOA took over a whole suburb. I'm not a fan. And I'd much rather be 30 minutes from Nola and the coast than just outside of Jackson.

Gotcha. My son didn’t take to sailing, even though he did sailing camp every summer. Oh well, I can see how it’s boring for an athletic 14 yr old.

He’s super into St Stanislaus sports.
