Is Andy Ngo a reliable source?

A leftist friend (we've known each other for 25 years) just told me Andy Ngo is not a reliable source during a discussion.
Anybody know anything tangible that might disparage Andy's reliability?
Just want to know if there is something I'm unaware of.

All things being equal, my thought is “Once a leftist identifies a dissenter, they are immediately unreliable regardless of what they say.”

A relevant question to ask your friend might be who they consider reliable sources. If they don't consider Andy a reliable source, they should be able to tell you why also.
Then you can do your own research to figure out if he is or not.

He usually has video or photographic evidence to back up everything. That makes him pretty credible in my book. Plus he usually names names and doesn’t rely on “unnamed sources”. As a former journalist those are the 2 big keys on determining whether or not something is bullshite.

I had a few like that. They stopped talking to me when i pointed out that they didn’t even know the Paris accords didn’t hold anyone responsible to hit their targeted co2 reductions.

Andy Ngo is probably one of the MOST reliable sources out there. Dude doesn't report based on unnamed sources...he's out there videoing the stories first hand as they happen. I don't know how much more reliable your friend can ask for?

Like you would with anyone, you should assume Andy has his own motives and biases.
I think most of his coverage is legitimate, at least as much so as any normal media source. I do think he's in a personal war with the Portland leftist community and that he probably takes liberties in how he characterizes things.
But I think if most journalists were at least as honest as Andy Ngo, the media in this country would be exponentially more trustworthy.
