What's the cheapest thing you've ever seen a wealthy person do?

I have witnessed a person worth millions take ketchup packets from Wendy's and squirt them into a ketchup bottle and put it back in the fridge.

This is disturbing for 2 reasons:

1 how old was the ketchup on the bottom
2 how much is ketchup at the end of the day 3 bucks?

Gives you an idea why rich people get rich I guess though

My stepfather steals sweet’n low packets from restaurants. He also orders water with lemon and makes his own lemonade at the table so he doesn’t have to pay for a drink.

Get expired pints of milk that a school was throwing out instead of buying it at the store.

In fairness it had not turned south yet.

Tip $1 on a $60 dollar dinner.

I felt so bad I went back and gave the poor girl a twenty while he was walking to his car.

I mean that's a good way to save $3.00 at a grocery store

People who have money have it for a reason, usually they don't do stupid shite like buy automatic running board for their trucks nah mean?

Several years ago Warren Buffet was playing golf. He didn't have a glove and instead of buying a new glove he used band aids on his fingers.

One time my dad crossed the grass between the interstate to pick up a ladder that was on the side going the other direction some other dude stopped and they started yelling about who seen it first and he started yelling at me to get out and help load it. I was about 7. It was one of those big ladders you can paint a 2 story house with

To be fair we got it in the truck by the time the other guy had just gotten out of his truck so it was ours by rights

I had a boss who was a fairly wealthy owner of the business put a sign by the thermostat that stated You will be fired if you set the temperature below 76.

Same boss also instructed me to do a payroll deduction for the cost of a dust mop that an employee broke.

I left that job as soon as a better opportunity came up.

i don't know if it's that cheap, but the wealthiest guy i know owns a 1mm+ house outright that he paid cash for and his gigantic pantry has a section of stolen CFA sauces.

the guy also exclusively dresses in marshall's polos and academy nikes and drives a 12 year old GMC with 250k miles on it. his wife gets a new lincoln navigator or ford expedition every 2 or 3 years.

we were on vacation with them last week when his school emailed him that his kids' school wouldn't be going to school on time and would start virtual. he called the head of school and said "i'll write you a check to cover the operating costs for the year. will that get you to open school?"
