Let’s see exactly how retarded... I mean intelligent you are when it’s all said and done.
If you don't know who shot first you honestly aren't worth the time discussing this with.
Hey... did they ever say who shot first... I’m waiting

Hey bud give the Austin PD a call. They need a retard to tell them who shot first!

I'm not expert, but it's painfully obvious the larger gun with the bigger round is louder. Now you can argue the motorist has a deadly weapon (vehicle) but it's open and shut who shot first. Hell they just have to check the magazines assuming both were fully loaded.
Woof I was wrong on that count.

What’s the legal justification for the second shooter being released? The driver was no longer a threat if he was fleeing.
I agree, the driver was no longer a threat. This other person will have to face consequences. Since they have a CC it is highly unlikely they will "flee" and the police can always pick them up later.
Who knows. All we know is, pointing guns at people is a bad idea.
edit to add: If someone in the vehicle did fired those 5 rounds first, it is a miracle they didn't hit anyone else.

You know it doesn't matter, right? You can't just go around pointing a rifle at people, especially in a situation like that.

You didn't even read the coroner's report, did you? Chauvin had almost nothing to do with Floyd's death. I know in modern American society inconvenient facts are inconvenient. But if you read the report you'd know Floyd was going to be dead before Chauvin ever touched him. But that doesn't give us a chance to get all up in our feels and proclaim to everyone on the internet. So we'll just blatantly ignore the facts (also, btw, that MPD's policy supported the officer's action) and proclaim our virtue to the world how it was awful what that stormtrooper did to that innocent angel.
Now, I have no doubt the officer will get convicted. His trial will have all the legitimacy of a drumhead tribunal. But he'll pay the price to assauge the mob's demand for blood.

quote:This person should be brought up on charges. Those shots were not fired for fear of life or loss of property. He had no legit reason to fire shots at that vehicle.
After the first volley of gunfire, another individual reported hearing the shots and saw the vehicle driving away. This person then drew their concealed handgun from an ankle holster and fired multiple shots at the vehicle as it drove away.

Listen for when the screams begin. That tells the story. You hear a male voice say "everyone back!" and then five loud shots, followed by relative silence. Seconds later, three more (lighter sounding) shots followed immediately by ear-piercing female screams. Must have been someone they know.

There are 6 states that have laws that ban the carrying of any firearm by any person involved with any protest or demonstration on public property. It also includes having a firearm in your vehicle if the vehicle is less than 1,000 ft. from the protest area. Alabama is one of those states. I've never given it much thought because I'm not much of a protester, but I think I am in favor of this law.

With this new info, you pretty much have to assume the driver had his gun out and available, which I don’t blame him as things have been shown to go south pretty fast with these protests/riots. That still shot of the guy pointing the rifle is going to save his arse from jail.

Protesting appears to actually be the cause. Unnecessarily attack public property and other Americans then scream and cry why you get the reaction you provoked. Majority of these woke folks are just out there to showcase their wokeness on social media. They could give a fudge about whatever this movement is or any other.
Like a million better things they could be doing to better society.
Bring guns to "peaceful" rally then get upset when guns are used and blame the government.

That's why police have discretion.

It was not....
Look at the beginning of the this Hiram guy’s video when they’re protesting at the police station. You see the victim with his wife.
This chick that described the shooting said that the guy in the car “shot Garrett, the boyfriend of Whitney whose a quadriplegic. He’s been his care taker for like ten years.....
Look a little closer at the pic and you see a girl in a wheelchair....and a guy with a gun.

Pretty sure Texas like Florida and Louisiana has laws in place that prohibit monetary damages in civil suits for a justified homicide.

I never questioned who was in the right or wrong. I just wondered how these idiots made a judgement based on the sounds off a 15 sec video.
