I would expect that we get more video of this. There are likely some security cameras in the area that captured more than what we are seeing.

Considering how badly he missed from such a close range, I too think it's possible he was firing into or at the car and not directly at the driver. Either way, the driver had to be fearing for his life. And had every right to waste that leftist cop hating mother fricker.
Hopefully, police evidence will soon give us a clear picture of what happen.
If such people are allowed to gain power and become elected officials, this country is done. You can't reason with such people. They will shout you down and attack you before you have a chance. Shooting or throwing deadly missiles into a dwelling, public or private building, whether occupied or unoccupied, vessels, aircraft, buses, railroad cars, streetcars, or other vehicles is a forcible felony in my state. That means you can be legally exterminated for that behavior, by anyone.

Not sure of the availability of green tip penetrators to the public but he must have been a shitty soldier to not know that regular rounds are not going to penetrate a cylinder wall of an engine.
He put everyone in danger by doing that. He deserved to get shot.

I don't know, but the clearing/racking is loud enough that it's picked up by the phone microphone. That tells me that the weapon being cleared/racked was outside the vehicle because had it been the pistol, I doubt it would have been audible from inside the car. So the timeline is as follows:
5 loud shots
silence
clearing/racking of a weapon (outside the vehicle)
3 shots from a weapon distinctly different from the first weapon.
