remember watching him on Live with Regis and Kathy Lee with my mom on school days that I played sick. It was that and then The Price is Right.

Same. Regis somehow managed to appeal to adults and grandmas and even kids. I also watched when I was home sick. And I’d watch during summer vacation too before venturing outside for rest of the day.

he would visit his old dorm at Notre Dame and knock on doors and hand out cash to the students living there. supposedly super friendly and kind.

Anybody have him in the death pool for this year? Having to work with kathie Lee gilford would have been to much for many but he stayed longer than most would have. RIP Regis

My favorite thing he did was when he was in How I Met Your Mother and was hunting for the best burger in New York with the gang.

He had a great bit the Monday after Notre Dame - Southern California in 2005.

Kelly picked up the phone to call Ted McGinley and laugh, then saw they were reviewing. Regis said "These referees - these PAC 10 REFEREES..."

One of my biggest memories of Regis is when he was on Letterman’s first show after 9/11. It’s good stuff considering the situation at the time.

Regis's best stuff came on other shows. He loved television and loved gracing other shows and making them lively.

I used to watch Who Wants to be a Millionaire. I’ll never forget Norm being on the show with no help and me screaming at the tv waking up my parents that Norm was actually right on the Million Dollar Question and Regis almost forced him to back out.

I thought he was successful in making sure he didn't answer the right question?

I'm not understanding what y'all are referring to. Why would he not answer the right question?

I lived in his old dorm. Christmas break of my freshman year we took a family vacation to Disney World. I was somewhere else in the park with my brother when my dad saw Regis and told him that his son lived in Zahm. My dad and Regis ended up having a nice conversation about it.

There was one year he randomly stopped by the dorm on the morning of a football game but I think I was out at a tailgate or something so I missed him. Everything I’ve heard about him was that he was awesome.
