Snowman: Hey, is she wearing a...wedding dress?
Bandit: She was.
Snowman: What's she wearing now? Come back. Hey, you got peanut butter or somethin' in your ears? Tell me what that girl's got on...her mind!
Snowman: Hey, we really ought to pay somebody for that mess we made.
Bandit: I got that all figured out. Just tell em to send the bill to Big Enos Burdette.
Snowman: Send bill to Big Enos Burdette; Burdette; B, Ber, B-u-r...Hell, I got to go!

Almost all of that movie was filmed in north GA. That truck stop from the beginning was located at Pleasant Hill Rd and I85, that there was a truck stop there shows how much Atlanta grew. There was a guy who lived down the street from us who built movie cars and camera cars. Atlanta used to be a hotbed for filmmakers because of the tax breaks.

I got to go to Conyers in the morning and pick up a load of manure.

No matter how many times I see this, I laugh hysterically. The interactions between Buford and Junior make the movie. Buford’s disgust with Junior cracks me up.
When he holds his fingers out for a cigarette and Junior puts it in there backwards
Junior: a football game daddy! Can we stay and watch?
Buford: you stay and watch! I’m going back! *throws it in reverse, swinging Junior out on the hood*
“I’m gonna BBQ your arse in molasses!”

And for those young ones who don't know, Jerry Reed also sang the song, Eastbound and Down, that plays throughout the movie.
The fact that Jerry Reed was refered to as "the coach from The Waterboy" is almost offensive. He's Jerry f-ing Reed. Amos Moses himself...

Both Fields and Reynolds were hot properties in the 70s and both had great comedy instincts.
Burt had a great deadpan face, like when he was staring at someone with disgust or annoyance as the person carried on with whatever he or she was doing. He also used this facial expression on his own actions such as when he was caught doing something he shouldn’t or lying or whatever.
It was natural, it was subtle, it was hilarious, and it was perfect. He didn’t have to work hard to be funny or do anything outlandish or shocking. It was effortless. I often burst out laughing just watching Burt in the background.

I expect this movie to be a target soon. WAYYYYYYYYYY too many Confederate Flags (including the GA flag plate om the front of Bandit's Trans Am).

Did anyone ever figure out what Snowman’s trailer was doing on The Walking Dead

It’s a shame I can only upvote that once.

At what point did you realize that the truck driver, Cledus, is Coach Red Beaulieu from The Waterboy?
In '71, every south Louisiana kid knew the words to Amos Moses. Then Jerry Reed reached his peak on Scooby Doo. The Cledus role was just gravy.

A guy I grew up with has a Bandit Trans Am. Evidently, there are collectors and even a few folks with the Snowman 18 wheelers. They get together and make a Bandit run every so often. I saw them all in Lafayette a few years back. Really something to see.

He's also one of the best guitar players I've ever seen. Criminally underrated
