Don't really have any goals this year with my game.
I tweaked my back a couple of years ago, so I have to manage it and I don't hit practice balls anymore.
I fluctuate between being a 7hcp in the summer to a 9 or 10 in the winter.
My goal this year was to travel and play throughout the US, but of course we are having a dumpster fire of a year.

I didn’t set out to change my game at the beginning of the year, but I did set this goal around when Covid hit. I was consistently shooting 89-92 and took two lessons, mainly the chipping lesson is what got me shooting 80/81. Night and day. Chipping close means no more 3 putts. I have 10-15 ft birdie putts that don’t typically go in but rarely miss on the Par putt.

January 1, I was 14.1 index.
Now at 8.7; try to get to 7.8 index.
I improve various aspects of my game when I practice.
I have not put everything together, but it’s coming along pretty good.

My main goal was to reshape my swing, self taught and was really limiting my potential.
Driver swing is in pretty good shape, went from averaging 240 yard to 270-280
Iron swing is another story, still working, but getting better 4-6 irons still have an outside in swing
Down to a 16, would like to be a 12-14 by next hear

Drop my handicap to a 5. Currently I’m a 20.0 (just started posting scores but according to charts I’ve seen that’s where I’ve always been) and am working to get better every chance I get.
No 3 putts - accomplished twice but still a lingering problem
Play my rounds with only 2 sleeves of balls - yeah this is going to take a while lol
Break 80 - this is a lofty goal and one that I’m probably far from, considering I shot a 102 yesterday, but it is still one of my goals for the year. Y’all may think I’m stupid for thinking it can happen, but I believe I can do this. I know hard work and smarter decisions on the course paired with better execution will get it done. However I still have the problem of making dumb decisions because I still have the I hit this one perfect shot this one time so why can’t I do it now attitude

I didn't have an actual goal this year in terms of stats. I know I wanted to improve my chipping which I've done. And when I played in the state am, I set some goals for round 2 which I hit: multiple birdies, break 78.
Next year I need to work on my in-round focus. Sometimes I don't adhere to a routine or over correct after I've hit a bad shot. I think that will lead to my ultimate goal of becoming a scratch. It's really, REALLY hard to break that barrier. I've been hovering around a 1.8-5.5 the last two years.

I want to get in the 70's consistently, Im on my way.
Ive shot low 80's last three rounds, man Im close.
My equipment is not good and currently upgrading the entire bag club by club and what I have been working on hard is alignment.
I have hammered this set up hard before every single shot and it has changed how I view golf. Focusing on my actual aim has helped me not think about swing mechanics and actually play golf on the course and not golf swing. Also by hammering alignment and aim I can now try and shape shots since Im actually aimed at my target.
Ive basically played golf for years with bad aim until I hammered the intermediate target hard and practiced it.
aim and alignment is all I really work on at the range as well. Ill put a tee in the ground about 6 feet ahead of my range ball and I will practice aligning up to it everytime before I hit. Much better than just aimlessly hitting balls working on a swing position.

Regaining some distance off the tee... I’m a little behind, but have been working out with speed training in mind and I’ve definitely made some progress in the last month
Getting my handicap back down below 10... going the opposite way. Started the year as an 11.6 and am currently on my way to 13. My ball striking with long fairway clubs (3W-4i) has been really poor, as have been my 100 yard down to about 30 yard shots. Not taking advantage of Par-5’s and blowing shorter scoring opportunities

To play and walk more in the middle of hot summer days. So far I’ve succeeded 0 times.

Break 100 (joke all you want). Picked up the game 3 years ago and have been teaching myself how to play.
I’ve gotten to 101 twice and stay around 105-108. Putting kills me.
Another was improve chipping and that has definitely happened.

My goals from the 2020 goals post:
Haven't broken par on 9 holes, yet.
Handicap isn't in the 3s. I'm down to a 4.9, which is close to my all time low. I feel like I'm starting to turn the corner, though. Had a rough patch when I changed putters and then went back to my old faithful.
Played in the state am, but there was no qualifying. Didn't sniff the cut, but was proud of how I played. Could have definitely played better, but I didn't embarrass myself.
I've walked more holes than I've rode, but that was seriously aided by Covid.
I have probably averaged 9 holes a week, which was aided by COVID. But I'm also playing 18 about every other week, so it works out.
I stopped practicing about a month ago. But before that, I was practicing a good bit. It's just too hot and I don't have any tournaments that I'm trying to focus towards.
When I'm playing a serious round, I've started focusing more. But I play way too many non-serious rounds for this to be a true goal. Tough to grind over a three footer for par when Let It Go is blaring in the background and my youngest is walking through my line.

Break par on 9 holes
Lower handicap to less than a 3
Qualify for the State Am and make the cut
Walk more holes than I ride
Play, on average, 9 holes a week
Practice once a week
Do a better job of focusing on every shot for every round (that's nebulous, but it's the best way I can describe it)

My goal is an even par round by the end of the year, not to be scratch because that isn’t happening this year (I started the year an 11 and am now a 7). I’ve had 3 rounds of +6 and a round of +4 This year, all 4 of those rounds could have been par with a few better decisions or a few dropped putts. My +4 round included a triple bogey...
I think par is a lofty goal for me by the end of the year but I believe it’s attainable

my goal is to play golf.
but seriously it would have been one under par round. i've played a handful of times this year and shot mid to high 70s. then last wednesday i shot a 69 at the farm. felt like cheating though because the greens were so easy.
4 bogies, 5 birdies, 1 eagle, 8 pars. crazy round.
eagle was on 18 too. had no business shooting at the green, but YOLO.
