I dealt with this before. Met a girl on Tinder. She thought I was attractive and vice versa. Talked on the phone for days and made plans for dinner. She bailed on me twice and I just gave up and never responded after the 2nd cancellation.
Sure enough about 3-4 weeks later out of the blue she checks back in with me. Act like nothing happened but never even got it past small talk and left her on read.
Apparently she had just split with Baby Daddy and was testing the waters. Had no idea but boy was I glad that didn’t go anywhere. Don’t let yourself become a back up plan fellas

A chick won't leave her current situation without someone to fall back on emotionally.. she is absolutely banging atleast 1 other guy and probably 2 or 3. Always start a relationship as a hook up. If you tell them you want to date and you're nice to them they will friend zone you in a second.. Be a dick don't answer her messages right away. Kinda be unavailable.. chick's want what they can't have..

My MILs husband of 33 years died of a heart attack. She needed all of three weeks before she was dating.

My point is that women don't need time to heal, they need options and it sounds like she has several that rank above you.

Oddly that may work out in your favor if she burns through them with the unholy animal crazy rebound sex and decides she's ready for a commitment with you.

She only dated the other dude a year. That’s barely even a rebound. Who the frick “needs time to heal” after a damn year?

had a wonderful time this morning, you're amazing and attractive, but I don't think I can date right now". Doesn't sound like the door is closed permanently, but we'll see three months from now. Two months?. It's probably closed, right?

That's a nice way of her saying she's not interested. She didn't find you relationship material when you guys went to an event. If she really liked you she would find a way to make it work. It's time to move on.

She’s just playing hard to get. Don’t take no for an answer until she files a restraining order.

Pssh, that's just another test for her to see how much you want her.

The only chance of that happening now is to put her on a back burner and cease all communication. The minute she sees you’ve moved on you are instantly more attractive. She knows she has you on standby right now.

That was a test. She wants you to try harder. You really shouldn’t take no for an answer. Think of something romantic, some kind of to-do for you. Good luck.

She said she was interested in me too, but couldn't commit.

I had this line thrown at me once. She had just moved into town and started a new job. She didn’t want to add a new relationship on top of it. I respected that, but continued to hang out with her. Eventually the sex started. I wanted the relationship too. I was persistent. I basically propped myself up to the point where she would have been a fool to say no. We’d hang out all the time. I’d try my hand at cooking for her. I kept my bad habits hidden.

Then we started dating, then it became exclusive, then we got engaged, now we are married.

If you really like her and think she is worth it, then don’t give up.

Exactly. Since the OP seems to be the romantic type, he should serenade her nightly from outside her window until she invites him in. Women love that.

Only logical thing to do at this point is camp outside her bedroom window until she changes her mind and gives you a chance.

It’s for the best. You shouldn’t be dating your sister anyway.
