frick em. Let them burn it down. The people capable and smart enough to prepare will be able to protect their own property accordingly. My old man is looking less and less crazy for hoarding guns and ammo over the last 5 years.

This will be career suicide if any of the republican council members vote yes.

Honestly shocked it's not more. 1M per kid, including one that was the product of sexual assault.

The cost of non-compliance.

It ain’t hard to see. Shieeete.
it's also "on film" that the cops escalated the situation unnecessarily. Absolutely no need for the cops to take it that far, but that's prob hard for you to see.

They did

This is the civil suit against the city
If you read the article you will find that Ms. Banks really doesn’t have the authority to do this

"Seeing what happened to George Floyd reminded me so much of what happened to Alton Sterling," Banks said in an interview. "This needs to be settled now and not be passed along to the next council and administration."

Was supposed to be reviewed last summer but no news since early last year

Councilman Trae Welch said he believes the lawsuit should proceed to trial to allow for a full accounting of the case to be “aired out” in public. He also said there are legal questions to be answered on whether the $5 million proposal exceeds the cap on payouts the city-parish might be obligated to pay.

shite.

A Baton Rouge jury would give them $5 million EACH.

Cut your losses. Cut OUR losses. Take the deal.

We have council persons giving away tax dollars unabated, we have the mayor trying to stir the pot and take down statues and street signs and we have four black school board members hanging up on a white school board member and starting a petition drive outside of their districts.

Yes, we are sinking fast.

GTFO with this shite. The police made him reach for a gun in his pocket? Just like the other time he reached for a gun in his pocket and officers managed to wrestle him into custody? You don’t know what the frick you are talking about. That dude was going to kill one of those officers that night and they did what they had to do. He could have surrendered and taken the rap but he chose to fight and lost. Oh fricking well. That doesn’t mean his kids get paid.

Is why St George was formed.

Enjoy our tax dollars why you can, Broome. The Gravy Train will be drying up soon.

Literally makes me sick to my stomach. The guy put a pistol to the head of a homeless African American , then fought two cops because he knew he was going to jail for a very long time. He then grabbed for his gun and was shot. He is owed nothing.

He also refuse to support his own children when he was alive. This is utterly ridiculous.

They are still going to destroy it, just at a slower pace. Guess they are going to give away reparations one way or another.
