I grew up in rural Louisiana. Without argument my hometown was the definition of the "Deep South". 50%+ black. Lot's of tension. My mother grew up in the Mississippi Delta. A place full of racial animus. I spent many of my summers there as a child.

I am 36 years old. Never in my life have I had a conversation with a person who claimed to be a part of or have ever been a part of the KKK. I have met true, ardent racists who were completely open about their contempt for other races. Yet none of them every said they were a part of or even supported the KKK.

Now somehow, in 2020, the media is giving us almost weekly reports of KKK members in far flung leftists conclaves such as Seattle.

I find it hard to believe that there are large swaths of underground, organized racists all across this country, when I have never been able to locate them in what should have been the hot bed for their existence.

Grew up in Georgia, Texas, and Ohio and currently live in Florida. I can safely say I've never seen one nor have I ever met anyone who knows one.

I remember they wanted to march in the Watkinsville Christmas parade when I wa a little kid. The city wouldn't let them, so they marched up and down the sidewalks as the parade went by. My most vivid memory was of a little kid in a child size Klan robe and hood. That still makes me sad to think about.

Never seen or heard of any in physical form, never met anyone that has seen them either. Lived in these States among others Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, and North Carolina. I lived in Germany, never ran into a neo nazi either .

I guess I'm lucky. But that is why they came up with all the white nationalist and white supremacist - they ran out of real racists.

I never saw klan. I did see 3-4 Nazis that came to Ole Miss to have a rally on campus. Everybody just stood around and made fun of them the whole time.

No, but a guy my brother used to be friends with later became David Duke’s right hand man for a few years.

I'm 45 and only once have I met someone who claimed to be a part if it, and they lived near my parents 20 years ago. My parents didn't bother getting to know them and were put off by it, but I guess if they had befriended them we would have met more. They are out there, but not in the numbers that get portrayed in the media.
