So, I interview a guy for a job and he seems normal and qualified for the job and I hire him.
He shows up for work a couple days later, but instead of being dressed in a suit and tie, he’s now wearing a dress, makeup, wig and high heels.
And I can’t fire him.

It is certainly ironic.
It will simply lead to more people leaving public education, especially in the primary and secondary levels.
The Covid thing was a good dry run for a lot of people to consider alternate means of educating their children. This will help accelerate that.

Yup. You hired a freak and you’re stuck with him.

This is a lie. You want special treatment. You want to be guaranteed a job even when you partake in abhorrent behavior that reflects poorly on your employer.

If he is qualified and competent at his job, why do you care what he has on his face or what he wears?

Couldn't you fire him under false pretenses? I mean he lied in the interview, right? You fire him for lying to you not the reason he lied.

What makes you think these are mutually exclusive?

This seems logical, so it probably wouldn't stand up in court.

Your grandfather would slap you for saying this out loud.
Unless you're under 30, then it's your great grandfather.

You can fire him if he is incompetent or unqualified. But dressing a certain way or putting something on him face doesnt make it so.

Can someone explain to me why this only applies to Title XII? Based on piggybackingg previous precedent that only applied to XII?
What prevents that same precdent and this subsequent opinion to both apply to all of the CRA of 1964?

The gay aspect of it I’m almost ok with except for religious schools, churches, etc. If their religion is against it then they should be able to discriminate.
The trans thing, he’ll no. If I’m a restaurant owner and I don’t want some dude in drag waiting tables there then I should have every right to say no.
