Can we just agree that everyone should be treated equally? Is that a fair enough statement?

No life is better than another. That's all I'm saying.

Every race has it's share of jerks. Not all blacks are bad, not all whites are racist. I think that's fair to say.

It's like the outliers, those looting and setting fires and stuff, give the rest of the blacks a bad look. And that isn't fair. Same thing with whites that jump on other whites because they have a different opinion.

Rodney King, almost 30 years ago, what progress has been made? Very little. Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Trayvon Martin, the Aubrey man in Georgia, when's it going to stop? This is not what anyone wants.

Just want to be seen equally in the eyes of everyone. I don't think that's an unreasonable request.

I get this is a sensitive subject but I think that's all anyone wants at this point. Just to be seen equally.

Those are my two cents.

Of course we agree on that 100%. When it comes to the conflict my take has always been that the data doesn’t match the narrative so I say let’s team up against the establishment not take sides with one party against our fellow citizens. That’s my beef with this thing, it’s supposed to be us vs them not buddying up to the power for some visceral gratification over your fellow man. This is the game they want, one half of the poor fighting the other not paying attention to them while they rob us.

My honest, no snark answer is why do you associate those things with black people?

Fair enough, but I did that because the entire context of this thread is about black lives mattering.

The welfare state, abortion, and public schools have been a disaster for everyone, but disproportionately so for blacks.

Trust me, I'd love to rant about just government, but this conversation is more specific.

quote:

For example you’ll often hear the phrase 13% of the people (I.e black people) commit 50% of the crime. Well that’s bull shite. Thirteen percent accounts for every black person in this country. I’ve never committed a non traffic violation crime and I don’t personally know another black person who has. The reality is that like 1% of our society (black and white) do these things and that 1% accounts for most of the crime.

Agreed.

It’s two primary things - all built and enforced by The Democratic Party . External locus of control psychology that has been culturally ingrained and reinforced mixed with Leftist ideology. More former than latter down the socioeconomic scale . And more the latter up the socioeconomic scale. In short - many poor blacks feel helpless and victimized and many wealthier blacks feel like Progressive super heroes looking to race shame whites.BLM is that top down co-opting of that helplessness by the academic and professional Left.

What did I say to you that wasn’t true? You used stale data, whataboutisms and gaslighting to make your points. You are intellectually dishonest. You have no interest in engaging because you think you’re right and that’s all there is to it. You’re the worst kind of racist, the one who has know idea what he actually is. And as you drift off to sleep tonight know that my words triggered you because they rang true in your heart.

You’re right over the target, I’ll just add the physical abuse that creates a boiling pot in the cities. You push people into a concentrated area, you poke and prod them to build the rage then when you need it for exploitation it’s an easy ignition. And at that point, like we saw here, people are so angry they’re not thinking straight and before you even know it you’ve even got sympathetic groups backing away from it. Look these people ran the klan and the Jim Crow South, they know manipulation and torture for these communities better than most. If we had a real free press they’d never get away with this.

And the angry black dude with no data that throws the word “ racist “ around at all the white people like he’s handing out Halloween Candy is The voice of racial reason. Keep us posted on that, Mumia.

No they don’t. It’s just convenient for them to virtue signal now.

They didn’t do any of this shite when Wayde Sims was shot by a black man.

Dude LSU damn sure did stuff in memory of Wayde. I agree with your post to a certain extent and don’t think BLM is the best movement to get behind for a myriad of reasons, but LSU definitely did a lot in memory of Wayde Sims life.

If you go to the politics board, it is obvious that a huge portion of our fans are deeply racist. One can hope these are kids or sidewalk fans and not LSU grads. However, if our athletic dep’t., coaches, teams and players associate themselves with BLM, a movement to stop unlawful violence against fellow citizens, offends you, maybe this is a good time for you to disassociate yourself from the teams.
If you support our black players only when in uniform, and could care less if they, their family or kids, are treated unjustly Or killed by law enforcement, your support was pretty shallow to begin with.
Hate to see you go, but here’s your hat...

The political board is a toxic cesspool comparable to something you'd see on 4chan. The lunacy from their echo chamber has been spilling on to other boards for a while but with the recent events happening it's nonstop. Maybe Brian Fiegel can explain to all of us why he allows a high traffic LSU sports website to be overrun with racist edgelords at a time when LSU football is the top program in the country and are the reigning National Champions with more eyes on it than ever.

Incorrect! The people you are talking about are NOT the ones that interjected all this BS into sports! That is their and my complaint! We did not want sports to be turned into anything remotely political. So look to the players and the university officials, they are the ones that did this!!!

Hahaha wait wait wait I read the first sentence and felt the need to address that alone. you’re so entitled and privileged you can’t even acknowledge the obvious disenfranchised and oppressed history of African Americans in this country and abroad.. the constitution wasn’t written for black people. If you remember your 8th grade history class you should know African Americans were 3/5 of a person basically until WW2. They fought for our country and for the free world so you can spew this kind of shite on the internet.

You’re so painfully and blindly oblivious to your own freedom it’s almost unpatriotic. Christ.

Oh and remember the civil right movement when black people were officially recognized as a part of the population so they got the right to vote. That was in the 1960s.. delete your account

Reading the positions people have on this board... clearly racism is a relic of the past! Thanks for solving that problem, everybody!

I agree in some respects, as many times the various forums on this site feel like a Fox News comment section. I think that tigerdroppings is probably just an accurate reflection of the constituent LSU fan base. It’s good to have a reminder of what kind of attitudes are prevalent, even if I don’t agree with them and the messaging is sometimes discouraging.

Are you proposing a majority of the cops are racist?

Do you think they wake up and think, how will I ruin a black man's life today?

It seems that way. Police officers lives were taken in Baton Rouge in the name of the BLM Movement. I realize not everyone in the movement supports the violence, but this is a pretty odd place for LSU to dig in.

This has no place being pushed by a public university. These players are treated like kings, have facilities on par with professional athletes, but are somehow disenfranchised. Completely ridiculous.

Now LSU posting “be the change” get out to vote. What in the frick is going on here? Hard to believe this isn’t some type of affront to voting Trump out.
