Down 5% PM. I’m all about buying the dip, but frick

On a positive note, its not just us. The whole EV sector is down big PM.

$6's are not out of the question in this market. Afraid we're gonna hit $7.5 today.

I know of no reason than the market, small caps and EV related stocks taking a beating. Anything $8 or below is a buy for me. Hell, I may end up with all my shares back plus a nice profit after taxes.

Yup, this isn't SLI related.

Our market is just getting absolutely shite-housed right now. And SLI still has alot of beta so it looks a little worse for us.

Just gotta hope the storm doesn't get much worse for the rest of 2021 and get December over with.

Gonna be able to buy in cheaper than Koch here by end of this week if I had to guess.

Fed meeting today is huge. It would be nice if they announce they’ll hold off raising rates or slow tapering or something to put things back in the green.

If the news is bad, stocks are going to keep falling

Not gonna lie this is a real gutcheck for me to keep holding. Worried the market won’t improve in the near future and can’t decide whether to sell most everything now before it drops more and buy back in later after the economy straightens out inflation wise, or just suck it up and wait it out

I lightened up all my high multiple stocks over the last week to a size I'm confident I dont need to sell anything else. Sold some long nvda shares finally, sold some amd, sold some mp. Bought a little lmt and jpm and sitting rest in cash for now. Knew I wasn't selling an sli share so i sold as much other things as I could stomach the long term cap gain on. Still haven't sold an sli share, want all my shares to go long.
This was an extremely predictable couple of weeks. If we go under 7.50, I'll start chipping away. Get me some Koch shares.

If you were in this name for a pop and sell and had no intentions of holding long, yea I'd be panicking. You should be panicking about any stock you hold with no profits or huge multiples. Probably another 5 to 10% to go at least. If fed comes out more hawkish than they signaled, maybe 15%-20%, that puts us at 6.40 floor imo. I'm not gonna try to time this whiplash. Ima ride it. Don't want to give up purchase dates.

I for one am not that mad at this. I wouldnt mind some fair valuation companies get rewarded a little, it's healthy. LMT is one of my favorite stocks for 2022. I seriously expect the Taiwan scenario to play out in 2022. LmT is not expensive, and with bonds so low, I expect defense stocks to catch a big bid. Brk.b is interesting too with their 150 billion on sidelines, might be last ride of buffet.

You have no choice being in in the 9's

Im in in the 5s and watching it melt away is pretty painful. But all this lithium bullshite is bound to turn at some point.

Crazy Ive held so long to avoid short term cap gains and I’ve lost way more value than if I had sold and taken the tax hit. Sticking to the original plan though and holding long. Will reverse, just not as soon as expected

I’m in the same boat….

FWIW my approach to managing the daily triage is focusing on the 2 year price target. I think it’ll be my basis ($4) or $50+ , willing to roll the dice for the asymmetrical upside

I would fine with a dip to 7.50. I got a little cash to add some shares.

Oh well frick it. I always remind myself how stupid my grandparents were when my great grandpa died and they sold the 3 million in stocks he left to them. In 1998

Imagine what that’s worth today

Dogecoin up 20% on news that Tesla will accept it for apparel sales on their website. Imagine what it would do to SLI if they announced we were going to be one of (or the) battery supplier for them...

This and all of the "infrastructure" bill passed should be a strong tail wind for SLI. They have to just get to commercial scale production.
