There is no way around it at this point. The Saints went from having one of the best “locker room” dynamics in the league to one of the worst over night.

I really hope Drew retires. He doesn't need that shite in his last year here. If something is seriously wrong with his son it may happen anyway.

It’s my opinion that The entire locker room hinges on Demario Davis bringing everyone together. Which I think he will do.

At the end of the day these guys were outraged and emotional. They’ll step back and remember who Drew is and what he’s done. Payton will allow them to discuss and debate all they want.

Why I think Drew needs to drop a no flush big deuce in the locker room tell the team to go F themselves, drive to San Diego and never come back. Drew Doesn’t owe anyone in that cesspool anything. I get why he did a soft apology. At this point he’s thinking about the safety of his family. He knows how ratchet New Orleans is. He has a front row seat daily. F them ungrateful assholes.

Maybe. But, brees and Davis are strong enough bring it all back together. If I’m Payton I’m walking in the meeting and writing everything on a board that drew brees has done for the black community to show some of those young ignorant idiots that he has done more than any black player in the history of the saints. Or in this city probably.

Part of me wants him to announce his retirement the day before the first regular season game just to frick with them and give N.O. the finger.

There's nothing that can be done right now. Emotions are too high, making people irrational.

The only hope is time goes on, emotions calm down and a constructive conversation between teammates is able to take place in the future.

Dianna Russini doesn’t agree

quote:

Saints players are not concerned about their locker room chemistry. Demario Davis tells me this will all start from the top. "Sean Payton has always done a great job of keeping us on all on the same page. Also with leaders like Drew and Cam...this is all less about football..."

I don't share your conclusion.

First all these grown men will have to carry a grudge and never let it go.
Second they would all have to have zero forgiveness.
And third they would have to let effect their work place and their earning ability.

We will see.

The Saints need to draft players like Julio from here on out. I like no-drama players that can ball out and not frick up everything with their loud mouths.

If they communicate and talk it out and then move on, they can use these emotions to come together as a team and grow stronger together.

Nothing would make me happier than to see the Saints use this fire to destroy the falcons this year. I don't want to see Drew leave NOLA like this, and I dont want to trade anyone because of how they feel about current events.

Can we as fans move on too please?

The one thing we have going for us is all these guys want to be the best and they want to win. Take Michael Thomas for example, he may dislike Drew, hell for all we know he may have disliked Drew before this, but that guy is so obsessed with being the best he’s still going to do whatever he can to be the best.

When you put toxic players like Jenkins or Winston in the team you create a pack mentality... and the pack I clicked up and even ready to slay the only winner in nola in the name of social justice... a fricking cancer of self righteous hypocrites.
