Wade has stated that the big thing he wants next is an expanded practice facility!!! In fact, he sounds disappointed that it has not already been done.

Job 1 is to get the MBB practice facilities consolidated along the lines of football Ops. They want everything under one tent.
The PMAC improvements would be after that.

The women have their own practice court and practice facilities. I’d guess theirs would also be improved along with the men’s

Yea as soon as he got hired he went around and started making demands. The media area was terrible. It still is, but it looks better now because he made us paint and put new chairs atleast. He will get what he wants.

What was the last major construction or upgrade that wasn’t provided by TAF?

As far as athletic facilities? I honestly couldn’t tell you off the top of my head. I would have to research that. There is a possibility that one of the Tiger Stadium renovation projects (not recent, but older) used some state bond money that went through the capital outlay process since the state still officially owns the stadium as part of the school.

Now all of the Nicholson Gateway project done on campus and opened a couple years ago was funded through capital outlay dollars, as well as other facility renovations and new buildings (including Patrick F. Taylor Hall, which is the new engineering bldg) on campus.

The funny coincidence is that as much as people blame Jindal for the budget issues of LSU and other higher ed systems; one truth that gets left out is that millions of capital dollars flowed into LSU during Jindal’s administration.

It’s in a perfect spot. It would suck if they built a new arena way to the south near the baseball field.

Blow up the PMAC and play a year at the Centroplex. Then build a state of the art rectangular arena in that spot.

If wade is pulling in big time recruits with this monstrosity just imagine what he could do with a nice arena and great facility.

I think the attraction is the "big offers."

I love the PMAC. A lot of LSU and personal history there.

The bottom bowl bleachers only have a few working motors. The rest get pulled out by a bunch of workers. The facility really is just not good.

Portions flood after every rain. There isn’t enough conduit space to support modern infrastructure demands. The AC is terribly inefficient. The truck/bus entrance is awful. No club section

Build new track facility on river road, new PMAC goes on the old track facility footprint. Demo PMAC and make a green space for tailgating

There are preliminary talks about a new arena happening. CWW wants a basketball ops faculty more than a new arena.

The "Fighting Nikki's" don't need or deserve any improvements until we can call them the "Fighting Kim's".

I want a National Championship in both men's and women's basketball.

It's possible with Will, but not even remotely conceivable with Nikki...…..

The plans developed during the Alleva administration had similar improvements to both men's and women's practice facilities as well as some common meeting rooms.

I have not seen any plans from the Woodward reevaluation of the infrastructure needs.

Remodel it with bold new interior design and eliminating the unsightly ramps. It is in the perfect location.

They’re all combined in the same facility; so why wouldn’t they benefit just as much as the men. Each have their own court in the facility and locker room and meeting/film room. If a training and strength/conditioning is added as they should be, then I’d imagine the two teams would share those spaces. Offices for both staffs would likely be added as well. So the only additional expense specific to the women’s team would really just be the addition of coaches/staff offices and that is a nominal expense in the grand scheme of things.

And take the doors off the portals. What is the point of those anyway?

Just make sure there’s enough money left over so that he can continue with his damn strong offers!
