Any breaking news on a new arena or polishing up the PMAC?

The PMAC is much worse than it looks. I worked there while in school. It’s terrible.

The bottom bowl bleachers only have a few working motors. The rest get pulled out by a bunch of workers. The facility really is just not good.

I don't understand the hate for the PMAC tbh

LSU bball season ticket holders should be grateful for a chance to upgrade from the trailer park or nursing home for a couple hours

Where’s he gonna go? According to the board experts nobody else will touch him and he’s about to lose an assistant coach bc of the cloud hanging over the program.

I read that here and it was posted by people who only deal with facts, not feelings, so it’s gotta be true

I don’t believe Wade cares about the arena itself as much as he wants the player and coach’s facilities to change. He is not a fan of the way the new practice facility’s layout and wants that changed first and foremost.

With that said I think getting butts in the seats and some support is more important to him when it comes to actual games. I had season tickets last year and outside of Kentucky the place was never packed and that was coming off of an sec championship season. How about let’s go to the current arena before we demand a new one.

Good riddance. Attendance will be way down when the sanctions hit anyway.

Tear it down and build a new arena in the same mold as Auburn's.

This is correct.

I really hope LSU is hit with little to no sanctions if for no other reason than to shut you up and stick it to your ignorant self-righteous "fandom."

Agree. It is fairly common knowledge that the next big build planned for the basketball programs is an expansion and upgrade of the practice facility. Wade has "begged" to consolidate all basketball operations, offices, training, rehab, and practice under one roof. Currently, they must go to 3 or 4 different buildings for all of these activities. They literally have to drag weights and other training aids from the shared training facilities to the basketball practice facility. This is the biggest discrepancy between other comparable programs. Wade has said that VCU had a better set up for practice facility in some respects compared to LSU.

The latest update (pre Covid 19) that I heard from my TAF rep. was that Woodward was obtaining outside consultations. These were in regards to this practice facility as well as the PMAC to coordinate long term facility upgrade planning. There were some plans for the practice facility upgrade being done when Alleva was here. But, this will be a big dollar upgrade and Woodward wanted to ensure things would be done correctly.

Although funding would be done predominately through TAF, who knows how the Covid 19 pandemic and the oil price volatility will affect donations. As we know, state fiscal issues does have effects on athletic department plans even if funding is through TAF.

Nothing will happen soon, IMO.

Didn't state build the PMAC? Why can't the state build or help build a new one? How many hundreds of millions are state tax payers having to pay to renovate the Superdome?

It's outdated and lacks basic amenities modern arenas have and this is a major recruiting disadvantage.

Trust me when I tell you that you would much rather have TAF provide the funding and allow the AD to control the construction/renovation.

The state's capital outlay process, which is what the project would have to go through to receive state funding, is a long and arduous one, which would be even worse given the current economic climate post-covid. Not to mention that the academic side of LSU and all other higher ed institutions are already under funded and in need of capital funds for regular campus facilities and buildings.

Because come this time next year, tax revenue is going to be hard to come by thanks to the state and national shutdowns.

WW won't be employed here once the NCAA allegations drop, so he's not in a place to be making demands. You're delusional if you don't see that writing on the wall.
