This is the truth. They're popping up in Houston and are in Shreveport as well when I was there a year ago

Now they are being pushed out by Jimmy John's, Firehouse and Jersey Mike's type of places.
As far as I am concerned, they can keep their salad sandwiches that they garnish with a little touch of meat.

There are Blimpie’s still in SC, they are just relegated to gas stations.
And Subway is wayyyyyy too big. I know of 3 off the top of my head within a 5 minute drive of where I work.

They had a unique brand position 20+ years ago. Remember they marketed themselves as the healthy alternative to fast food and they offered a unique experience to have your food prepped right in front of you and to choose all the ingredients you wanted.
Back to the future now and the guise of heart health has fallen of their sodium laden processed meats and the line prep ordering model has been adopted by many restaurants with higher quality ingredients.
They needed to go the Chipotle route (Or even Dominos), quality ingredients with a proven delivery system. Instead they have given up

I think for the price point their quality is crap. Can’t tel you how many of my wifes clothes have completely deteriorated after a couple wears. They do always send her replacement items.

#5 fastest growing is WalMart. According to the OT, nobody would be caught dead shopping at WalMart.
Is online WalMart less trashy than physical stores?

Pretty much. Subway still seems healthier than McDonald’s but everything they sell is still loaded with carbs and nitrates.

The Dunkin near my house is usually busy all the time. Even after the shutdown, the drive-thru lines were wrapped around the building. (Not Chick-Fil-A level wrapped but still busy)

What can you get on there that isn’t on Amazon?

I guess Lowes and Home Depot's gains were to big to fit on the chart..
Ace Hardware likely had it's best quarter ever.

No real athlete would ever willingly choose under armor gear.
I own workout clothes (not including shoes) from Nike, Reebok, Adidas, UA, Puma, Diadora, and Fila. There is zero discernable quality difference between any of it.

If Dunkin has the best donuts in your area I feel sorry for you

Under Armour has terrible design and cheap products. You can have lower quality stuff (Nike) if your design and advertising is best in class

The only people that I know who wear under armor are travel ball dads that think it’s cool because of Jordan Spieth.

Also Burberry is shite quality and they no longer have any brand identity. everything they make now features these bold blocky letters. just make super high quality shite with a little bit of the tartan fabric here and there

Under armor was way ahead in quality 10 years ago, but now no clue. I was given a bunch of Russell athletic, Nike, and under armor stuff for college and pro baseball. All my Nike stuff is long gone and unusable. The Russell hoodies are still great. The under armor shirts are all still my workout gear 13 years later. the first run of under armor shoes and shorts were all awful, but since then all of the shorts are all really nice

Under Armour is a weird one. I always thought that gen z and younger kids are wearing them a whole lot more than the older millennials and gen x. Not to mention a lot of people who boycotted Nike recently with some of their political stances.
People dont know they fudged their numbers. I think the guy ran off to another country or something.
But basically to show they kept increasing in sales they would over ship goods to stores and ask them to hold them so it looks like that product was off their books. These retail places would get a deal for doing that. One of the big players doing this was sports authority. So they were shipping goods to sports authorities knowing they were going to go under but it didnt matter because again, the books showed that product was now owned by sports authority.
Now i forget if it was dicks or kohls that eventually wouldnt play ball and ratted them out. So their year after year sales growth was a huge fricking farce.

I actually bought some microcontrollers from Wal-Mart online. Microchip Technology 16F1827s, if memory serves. Damned fine microcontroller. I highly recommend it for your paper mill, cruise missile, or Inflate-A-Date module.
