Looking for a good quality smaller soft ice chest to fit around 10 cans thats not as pricey as yeti. Not looking to spend more than $100. I've got an ozark trail big cooler and I find it does not keep ice for long.

Well that is the trade off. The non-Yeti non-pricey soft coolers don't keep ice near as long.

The best compromise I have found are the soft sided coolers at Bucee's.

I bought this one years ago, but the older version. I still have it and works really well. It keeps ice about 2/3's the my Yeti bags do.

It's less than $50 right now on their site.

Love my rtic 30 soft cooler. Liked it so much i got a 40 too. Seems to keep ice a long time. All the soft coolers will not keep ice as well as a hard rotomolded cooler of course.

The soft sided bucee's cooler looks exactly like the rtic ones for half the price

In that price range....how long are you looking to hold ice? If it gets you through a fishing trip or a day on the beach drinking you are pretty much getting what you paid for.

My Rtic 30 seams are coming unglued. It has also discolored. I wouldn't buy again.

I have 3 RTIC coolers. I would say look at the 20 if you are only wanting to ice down 10 cans. Every time I take out my boat I have a RTIC 20 with me. It can fit a couple beers and some waters with ice to last for the trip with no problem.

Yep, I had to throw my RTIC away after one football season.

Polar Bear or AO coolers. I have both in a few different sizes and would purchase either again. I think polar bear has a 2 for 1 deal going on right now.

Same thing with mine. Same thing you'll hear every Rtic owner eventually say.

Did u leave in the sun all day? That will likely affect the glue in all soft coolers. I always throw something over mine at the beach.

AO coolers.

They leak.

But... They are bomb proof.

One fell off the Roof rack on i10 doing 90.

Skidded a solid 1000ft. Tumbled. Got hit by a truck.

Cans exploded. I still use the chest

If you’re in BR, backpacker sells AO coolers and had a sale going on this past weekend.

I was thinking of getting an AO48, which is much bigger than what you’re looking for and that was around $100, so a smaller one should be well within your range.

Academy has their store brand soft coolers as well for a decent price.

I had both of these, as well. The bottom of both of them came completely unglued. I liked them before that. Now I have a Magellen that I found in my shed that the previous home owner left. I like it better, actually. Has a little velcro flap at the top so you can grab beers out of without having to unzip the whole thing.

If I'm using any type of soft ice chest, I'm not concerned with it holding ice for more than a day or so. If my needs are more than that, I'm bringing the "good" ice chest that I got from a guy on a forum I frequent. It still works wonderfully.

I bought the Magellan knock off of the Yeti/RTIC soft cooler and I've been really happy with it. It has several D rings on it so I can lash it down to the back of my kayak and it's just the right size to hold food and drinks for a two day fishing trip.

And it's $20 - $30 cheaper than the Yeti/RTIC versions.
