It’s getting tight for sure. People can get pissed about people filling up freezers but if you don’t, someone else will. It’s just human nature. You can click all the red arrows you can find. I’ve got a freezer full of ground beef, chuck roasts, and ground sirloin.

Just like tp, paper towels and hand sanitizer, right? None of this hoarding makes any sense. It creates the very shortages that people like you fear. Stop.

Or, stocking up now frees up future supply for others.

yeah, because of the processing plants being down, because of out breaks, it's hitting the chain of supply.

We bought a quarter steer at $1.65/lb on the hoof and paid $100 for our share of the processing. ...Had to borrow freezer space for all the meat!

We do the same: beef, lamb, pork from local producers. Humanely raised, family farms. Freezers are always full of meat but we pay about double that for custom cut/wrap.

I saw this at Sam's club in Madisonville just a few hours ago. Not sure why my local Ponchatoula store Bohning's which has stores in Bedico, Robert and Loranger has been short of nothing.

I am really not a conspiracy type, but I really wonder what is going on when local stores have plenty of everything but the chains are empty. In Sam's earlier they literally had nothing but ground turkey meat.

High Dressing up to 70.00

Breakers up to 65.00

Lean up to 63.00

Bulls up to 92.00

That was a solid buy thank you from the cattle association

In southern Ga about 50% of the chicken plants are shut down. The ones open are having covid problems. One has 11 deaths.

Very literally turning down health benefits that could actually give him years longer.

If that's his prerogative, great. But I doubt it is.

In prairieville yesterday and got a whole brisket and two whole filets. Grabbed some boneless skinless chicken from another store. Only thing I couldn’t find was Veron’s green onion sausage... had to settle.

The media and people have been wishcasting a meat shortage for three weeks. I guess it will come true soon, but won't last for too long.

You're right. It's true. Why in the frick would anyone in their right mind wish cast this? That is what is astounding.
As you said, it won't last long. Once the hoarding is over, things will return to normal.

Sam’s has been out of many different kinds of meat for over a month. You would think there is no way they can run out of ground meat but the last two times I have been in there all they had was those long tubes

I've seen some real shite steaks at places like rouses etc. Not for any cheaper. Looks like cuts of brisket with no fat marbling at all.
