I understand this loose meat burger will not be everyone's thing, but we like these at our house. Since most of my old stuff is gone, I thought I would share this old photo recipe post again.

Chow Mein burgers use ground beef, Chop Suey vegetables and Chow Mein noodles to provide an interesting Chinese taste in a loose meat sandwich

Need:

Ground beef - about a pound and a half of the five pounds shown here

Chop Suey vegetables, soy sauce, cornstarch, water

Chow Mein noodles

And hamburger buns (not shown)

Directions

Brown off the ground beef (I used ground beef I had cooked for storage in the freezer and later use, so it had a little onion cooked with the ground beef)

and add the vegetables

Mix everything together, add 3 Tablespoons of soy sauce, 1/2 cup of water and 1 1/2 Tablespoons of cornstarch, then cook until water is gone and the mixture has dried somewhat, thickened by the cornstarch

Add a healthy portion of the loose meat to a burger bun

top with the Chow Mein noodles

Then the top of the bun

This is also pretty good, served over rice

Thanks for looking at my post

All my stuff

I like loose meat burgers, just never thought about going the chow mein route.

I usually just brown and drain the meat and put it on burger/hot dog buns.
