Yeah I usually have to put new chord on my weedeater atleast twice when doing my yard. I used to get pissed off, but Ive just learned to accept it now..

How much do you need to weed eat? Damn

If I kept having to do that, I’d buy one of those quick replacement heads that sell the pre-cut strands. I used to have one and it was idiot proof.

The only issue I have ever had is that they Eventually become hard to start. Screw trying to clean that little square Chinese carb and just order the replacement kit for $13 on ebay. Replace the carb, fuel lines, primer bulb, plug, and air filter included in the kit and it’s trouble free again.

They are called string trimmers, Weedeater is a brand and the original Weedeater was a bad MF

Got an electric 40v blackndecker

Best electric piece of equipment ever. And the blower works good too. Easy to just pop the battery between the two. May try the hedge trimmer next.

The Dewalt has even fixed that to a degree. The string runs through the head then you just twist the head and it rolls back on itself

Get an Echo. Zero problems in 10 years and it takes about an hour to trim the yard.

I use prewound refills and almost never have an issue with the line not feeding.

I bought the 40 v black n Decker weed eater last year. After about the charges the battery charger took a dump. Contacted black and decker about the issue, sent them the bad charger they sent me a 36 volt charger that takes about 6 hours to charge a dead battery!
I’ll never give black n Decker my money again ... but I found out electric is the way to go on a weed eater that’s solely used for trimming

Wife bought me an Echo as a gift about 5 years ago. Haven’t done anything to it but run ethanol free gas mixed with oil and change the line. Starts up first pull after priming every time. You own a pos.

You own a POS. Get a Stihl. The string is pretty easy to fix.

Pretty much every baw on a suburban lot should do this. Gas is for commercial use or people who have legit land/brush to deal with.

big yard. Lots of trees. Shitty weedeater. To be honest though, I only weedeat every other time I mow the grass usually.

I hate my gas Stihl weedeater and blower.

If i could do it over, I'd go electric.

I hate my electric blower. I guess a battery powered one would be ok but I've been considering buying a gas one. I hate dragging that damn 100 foot extension cord all over the place.

I had to replace the string about a thousand times this morning. No bullshite I gave up. I don’t know if the string I have is shite or there’s some kind of trick to it. But it feels fricking bad man.
