I agree. Women will stand in front of products forever before making a decision. I’m constantly having to just step in front of them to grab my shite and go.

And there’s a man thing. We think that if it’s no more than, say, ten items, we can just remember to get everything. Fact is we often forget something. As a man, am I supposed to lose my shite and be offended if someone were to suggest this?

I have asked the question to friends ...parties etc ( if conversation swings in the direction) "Which minute takes longer? A football/basketball minute ....or a shopping minute ..as in "i'll be just a minute") ...it falls along gender lines mostly. But no man yet has said sports minute but a few women have said...shopping minute

This is the problem. Our society has now been conditioned to tiptoe around women and minorities to the point that we can’t say harmless, or in many cases, true things for fear of “backlash”.

This is true, i do most of our shopping not because i like it but my wife is terrible at it, when i shop the cart never comes to a full stop, when my wife does go with me that drives her crazy

Me about to cook burgers on grill “shite we are out of ketchup and French fries, want to ride with me to dollar general real quick?”
Her: sure
45 minutes later :/
I don’t get it. She has to walk down and inspect every aisle, as if there is completely different merchandise this week than last week.

I get it, I just hate our thin-skinned society.

My MIL will go down every aisle even though she doesn't need anything down that aisle.

Even with a list....
My husband does the shopping now, with a list. Surely he's not the only guy who figures a couple packs of cookies and chips were inadvertently left off the list?

He made an executive decision.

Well, in my experience women just buy more, planning ahead and being more thorough and detailed about which supplies to buy, which is a good thing, but yes takes longer. Men, tend to be more general, spartan, less picky, often missing needed supplies for long and short term. Both are strengths and weaknesses, but yes I think in general men are faster as a result.

It's funny how these people can make you think something is so much larger than it really is.

As a man, when I make a list, I literally have a plan of attack for when I get in the store. As I’m driving to the store, I’m thinking about the most efficient way to get in and out as possible. I’m laser-focused on exactly what I need and don’t spend a second looking at anything else.

These ridiculous social rules in foreign countries aren’t so funny anymore

"Women take a longer time grocery shopping because they browse through different products and weigh out which option is best," Matsui told reporters at a coronavirus press conference in Osaka on Thursday.
"Men quickly grab what they're told to buy so they won't linger at the supermarket -- that avoids close contact with others," added Matsui
he's right

There’s a reason other countries who are less ‘woke’ are much more efficient at getting shite done. We spend so much time and effort in this country trying not to offend certain groups that we hamper our own efforts.
