Yep. I also big mad at Kamin on City Council for voting for that fricking low income housing block they want to build across the street. We are actively working against it though.
She is a young dipshit lefty like Dora the Explorer who has no business in the position she is in.

People who choose to live in Harris/Bexar/Dallas/Travis are clueless, dgaf, Soy Boys and Lesbians, illegal, or TDS SJW's and their parents.

This, imho, is a glimpse of what will happen when Texas goes full Democrat.
Your government closed the border to Louisiana...you know, part of the USA.
If only they had closed the border with Mexico first.

None of this is going to matter until people start showing up in mass to LOCAL council/govt meetings and making their demands.
Until then, they’ll all go unchecked and their heads will continue to increase in size with the power given to them by absence.

Is that the same thing as the Dian St Villas? I saw signs protesting that around Eureka.

Similar concept but different project. I'm on 25th and Ella.
Maybe Dora the Explorer wasted all the funds on the hospital that won't be used and the projects wont' get funded.

There have been 150 deaths since this all started in the Greater Houston area.
I didn't think there were 150...if I count deaths in all of Harris, Montgomery, Fort Bend, Brazoria and stretch to Galveston...I get 127.

I just went to HEB with my wife. We did not wear masks. There were police officers there. They were not wearing masks either. Only about 20% of customers were wearing masks.

Buddy of mine who lives there is a pretty conservative dude, but he says he like the mayor. Doesn’t act too much like a Democrat.
Thoughts?

They didn't really enforce the stay at home order. The local gov doesn't have the authority and relied on the fact that people generally want to be cooperative. It's going to be the same with the masks.

Every Houston mayor has been a democrat since I've lived here...I couldn't tell you much of anything about any of them.

He worked as a counterbalance to the idiocy of City government.
Crazy how fast Harris county leadership has gone to crap.

Not really... if you think about it

There is no legitimate way for the county govt to compel someone to wear a mask on his or her own private property.

I'm conservative as well, and I haven't had too many issues with him either. He's been pretty tolerable. We definitely could have worse, especially when you look at other major cities in the US.
Both Dora the Explorer and he appointed 'Recovery Czars' to manage opening up the economy in the county and city.
Dora appointed a Democratic State Rep not much older than her.
Turner appointed the former President of Shell US.
Turner at least does have some sense to him.
