Since stories of the 17 year old (sadly and despite his dad asking otherwise) are making the rounds this needs to be shared to show that both are complete statistical outliers.

A 101-year-old Italian man has been released from the hospital after recovering from COVID-19, according to a CNN report.
The man was admitted to a hospital in northeastern Italy last week after testing positive for the virus and left the hospital on Thursday, according to Gloria Lisi, the deputy mayor of Rimini, Italy.
Lisi said the recovery of the man, only known as "Mr. P," is "truly extraordinary" and provided "hope for the future."
Mr. P was born in 1919 amid the Spanish flu outbreak, where an estimated 30 million to 50 million people died due to the illness.
"The family brought [Mr. P.] home yesterday evening," Lisi said, affirming that his story teaches that "even at 101 years the future is not written."

Hope the media talks about this more, give people some hope instead of the doom and gloom.

Is the 17 year old a statistical outlier if he never showed symptoms and it was in fact heart failure per his father? I don't think it is. Now a 101 year old recovering is clearly an outlier.

I've posted this before, but too many people have it in their head that just because someone is old they will die from this.
A healthy 80 year old suffering from no major underlying conditions (other than being old) will likely handle this virus better than an obese 60 year old smoker.
It's all about the underlying conditions. Old people just typically have more underlying conditions, which is why they're dying at a higher rate.

Bet that dead 17 year old feels like a huge pussy for letting a virus that a 101 year old man could beat kill him.
They just don't make em like they used to.
