Governors can't force people to stay home either. Once areas resume more normal life and the dire doom predictions fail to materialize, those governors won't have much choice. Mass noncompliance is a powerful tool.

And what happens if everything opens up and the virus gets out of control and we turn into Italy. That will 100% be on Trump. That’s unnecessarily risky.

look who says Trump must be held accountable because the stimulus wasn't enough.

LINK

(they better have taken out all the no voter ID crap) I suspect they did because of Warren and Pelosi's melts.

What happens if the virus continues at high rates until October

Should we hole up inside until then?

Are people on this board willingly ignoring what trump has said?

He has said REPEATEDLY that he would love to see things reopen "as soon as POSSIBLE".....we ALL WOULD HAVE LOVE that. the key word is "possible". Trump has said time and time again in his pressers that he will listen to birx and fauci as to when "possible" exactly is.

Why is this so hard to understand?

Do you guys not watch his pressers?

Personally, I would say businesses should leave those states and never go back. Trump should arrange for funding for any business to transport full operations to a rational state.

Those that filed for unemployment will get back to work. I am sick of watching the media/DNC milk this just to get Trump.

Any one who denies the DNC/establishment/media have been begging to get Trump out with a tanked economy and another -gotcha- is lying through their teeth.

The people in a leadership positions and people in the media who worked 24/7 to politicize a global tragedy should be hung st sunrise. Give their possessions to the hard working folks who lost their jobs and may lose their businesses.

Of course people WANT to go back to work by Easter, but that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.
Are you saying that some governors will damage or destroy their own popularity just to hurt Trump? I doubt that.

How does this resolve itself?

President tells country to get back to work

JBE says “not so fast.”

LA tells JBE to get fricked.

LA goes back to work

Many states have closed schools until the end of April. This will need to be addressed before everyone can go back to work. It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Not all. We have a R(INO) Governor that just kept kids at home for the rest of the school year.

Not really. Most people here are pleased that we are going stay at home starting Saturday.

The places that open up will be the new epicenters within 2 to 3 weeks.

People spend all day at home with their families and realize they no longer fear COVID. Economy restarts.

This will go partisan in the near future. Blue states will shelter, red will open.
