Squirrel brains is a pretty popular dish there. And Don Mattingly is from there. So there’s that.

Awful accents, horrendous food, blue blood-level murder city.

I've never met someone who CURRENTLY lives in Indiana in professional or personal life, that I can recall (outside of Purdue fans). And we represent companies and people from plenty of fly-over places. I've met and known Indiana transplants, and they seem to adopt either Chicago or Ohio culture.

Indiana... By a huge margin... Was the worst one to drive through.

And if it's raining at night? Forget about it. Motherfrickers can't even bother to make sure I-65 is painted properly.

It's an absolute shithole of a state.

Mississippi with snow.

And I say this as someone with family there and likes going to Indianapolis for trips.

Southern Indiana towns like Jasper, Boonville, Tell City and Newburg are some good places.

If you go through Jasper, they have some of the best German restaurants around and a great fried chicken joint called the Chicken Place.

Indiana cannot possibly be worse than Kansas and I live in Kansas

Oh yeah...if you like Amish buffets, you're in luck. Head over to Gasthof's in Montgomery.

I can’t imagine it being as shitty as Mississippi, Kansas, or Oklahoma.

The fact that it is forgettable might be ok for the state. It’s forgettable but has 2 major sports teams and the Indy 500. Two high level minor league franchises for baseball and hockey, and some lower level stuff in Fort Wayne. 3 major universities, great high school hoops.

Let’s not forget it has access to Lake Michigan via the fine city of Gary, hometown of the Jackson 5.

The last statement aside, it seems like a decent place. I don’t recall there being any great scenery in that state. Or in Illinois.

Overall way better than Indiana (unless you're talking about SW OK or the panhandle).

Way, way behind Illinois because they have neither East St. Louis nor Chicago

Kansas and Nebraska are both bastions of culture and status compared to Indiana.

Definitely in the bottom 25 but probably a step ahead of the deep south.

And how could I forget Santa Claus? Home of Jay Cutler and Holiday World, an underrated amusement park that has free soda for all of the diabeetus folks.
