Indiana is just so vanilla. No great natural features unless you count the sand dunes.

Decent pretty area SW of Indy by Bloomington. Bloomington itself is a decent college town and beautiful campus. Indianapolis is great for hosting events with its downtown infrastructure. However for year round living IMO it lacks flavor and culture.

In the upper Midwest I would rather live in most of Wisconsin, parts of Minnesota, Michigan sans Detroit, Chicago suburbs, the Eastern half of Iowa, and most of Ohio.

Indiana living vs Louisiana? Close for many reasons. Imo higher ceiling and lower floor in Louisiana.

Where would Kansas fall at in that category if you’ve been there? By far the most boring I’ve driven through

Somewhere between 3 and 50.

Probably middle of the pack. They got Indianapolis and that homo that tried to get the Democratic nomination.

Oklahoma is the home of Joe Exotic. That makes it rank pretty high alone..

I hooked up with a girl a few who worked there at that place. I went there once to meet up with her to get laid. She and several other workers were living in these crappy mobile homes on the property. It was bizarre.

She was crazy. I told her I was done seeing her and she went bonkers. Fun times.

Kansas is probably 4th or 5th from the bottom to drive through.

I typically don't do interstates outside of I10, I'll cruise back roads for hundred of miles going nowhere.

I like kansas when headed west, I just like waiting for the elevation.

In the Kansas City area. I have driven I-70 through to Colorado enough to know that it is one of the most boring drives possible.

I have no idea what kind of food they have. Basketball is huge I guess.

In Indy (and most of central-ish Indiana) Colts and the 500 are surprisingly big sports events.

Food? Pork tenderloin sandwiches. And other bland stuff.

Indiana is a place where just about the best thing you can say is, it's not too bad. And really, that puts it well above a lot of places.

I lived in Hebron Indiana when I was a young man working. It was terrible, bad weather, nasty people and I’ve never seen a bigger collection of ugly women in one place... I’d say last

ndiana... By a huge margin... Was the worst one to drive through.

Really? I'm genuinely surprised at that especially with Ohio right next door.

Other than I-65 turning into an ice rink at the drop of a snowflake, and Indy freeways being full of idiots at all times, I think driving here is pretty pleasant. Fairly predictable gridded county roads, and relatively decent maintenance, and outside the cities pretty sparse traffic.

BTR native, currently live in NW Indiana. Actually our second time to make our home here. Our kids attended public school in both IN and baker/zachary. Zachary definitely better than Baker but IN even better. Cost of living is about the same when you average it out. However, car insurance is roughly a third here than La., sales tax slightly lower, and actually property tax about the same as it was for us in Zachary. Going to the stores like Target, Walmart, etc are completely different than in BTR - you can actually push a cart thru the isles witout having to dodge family reunions. I-65 drive is boring, but not as much as I-55 thru Illinois. All depends on what you are looking for and what is important to you. La has a lot more culture and much better food.
