I've lived in a white flight suburb of South Bend for about 15 years now. It's a good state. Not the best, but good. Great outdoors in the southern part of the state, not so much up north. Great universities. Relatively wholesome culture outside of Scary Gary.

That being said, it's a relatively vanilla state, I probably would not have just picked it to move to if not for work. Indy isn't world class, but it's a very nice city. Meriville area is a very nice little area too. Bloomington is a nice college town. South Bend is a grade 'A' shithole that surrounds a very beautiful Notre Dame campus

I do vaguely remember that. Like I said, South Bend is a shithole outside of the Notre Dame campus.

I live in Granger.

I find it funny those who are in Louisiana shitting all over Indiana.

Indiana public schools system is far superior then all the southern states. Cost of living and quality of life is pretty basic and majority of the population of Illinois is moving to Indiana.

Indiana has awesome Universities and colleges.

I would live in Indiana any day over Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas. Southern Indiana is awesome, the French Lick area is cool spot. Great golf courses as well.

St Elmos, Hyde Park, and Ocean Prime!

Also, throw in the Beef House in Covington.

Fantastic city.

There is a reason why so many conferences are held there. They know how to host.

Living in Nebraska I probably don't have a whole lot of room to talk.. but I'd rather live in Mogadishu than Gary, Indiana. Indiana may very well have some nice spots and redeeming qualities, I just don't know where or what they are

Overall way better than Indiana (unless you're talking about SW OK or the panhandle).

Oklahoma is the home of Joe Exotic. That makes it rank pretty high alone..

Louisiana is light years ahead of Indiana culturally and politically.

I love Indianapolis. Bloomington is a great college town. Hell I even like the corn fields ok. Some of the prettiest sunsets I’ve ever seen were in Muncie Indiana. It makes Arkansas look cultured but it’s not a bad place. It’s cheap as hell and the summers are nice.

Let’s not forget it has access to Lake Michigan via the fine city of Gary, hometown of the Jackson 5.

Never been, but I’d like to experience each state at least once, so I’ll go one day. Not terribly thrilled about it, tho. Just kind of meh as a state.

Indy is a cool city. ND is an amazing university. They have a huge meth problem though.

I think a lot of people don’t realize that louisville & Indiana are only separated by the Ohio river.

But it’s night & day when you crossover. From a somewhat progressive, urban downtown in louisville, , to Some nice countrysides in the surrounding areas of S Indiana, but also lot of zombie meth heads right there in jeffersonville

There’s a decent, newly renovated casino right down river with a nice sports book. Kinda forget you’re in that shot hold
