Yes. That is exactly what’s happening.
Couple he have come out stronger? Probably, but he isn’t the one scaring the shite out of people.
Scruffy truly wishes the media and other politicians would put politics aside for once, but, clearly, that won’t happen, not even in a situation like this.

The CDC can't get out of their own way. There were biotech labs ready with tests and could not get CDC approval because they were not medicaid/medicare certified. One lab did testing anyway and when they presented a positive case to the CDC they were told to cease and desist any Covid 19 testing. A few days later the FDA reached out to all labs, not just medicare/medicaid approved labs to develop tests.

So government inefficiency is only solved by lore government spending. Got it

And Italy
Why are people touting Italy right now? Their response has been fascist as frick and their infection rate and death rate is one of the worst in the world.
What the frick are they doing that you want done here? Government forced closure of businesses? The equivalent to Martial Law? You'd lose your goddamn feeble mind if Trump ordered people to stay home under force of law, regardless of they showed symptoms. I would too.

That sounds off for a couple reasons:
1. There is no such thing as Medicare/Medicaid certified. They will choose whether or not to pay for something, but they don’t have any say in the creation of something. Whether or not Medicare/Medicaid “certifies” something is irrelevant.
2. The CDC does not approve the tests. The FDA does. That is one of the reasons we are currently behind. If we went back to the WHO’s test kit, it would have to go through weeks of FDA testing for approval.

Man the Trump die-hards can’t take a little criticism of the guy. I’m not calling for him to be impeached or anything. You know it’s ok to actual critically analyze his actions right?
The testing has been a fricking disaster. Not only has the CDC not taken charge and provided support and guidance, they’ve actively impeded private entities and states from testing by being more concerned with red tape than accurate testing.
The European embargo happened a month too late. Italy has been a shite show for weeks and a lot of our official cases can be directly traced back to Italian tourists.
Finally, the overall treatment and management of the country’s psyche can in no way be deemed a success considering all the closures and cancellations

Two private labs are actively testing.

I agree.
Panicky overuse of the tests combined with public access to buy other precious medical resources will complicate our ability to take care of the very sick.

Also, in case people aren’t aware, the places that produce a component for the tests exists in Spain and Germany.
There are only two factories.
That is one of the major limiting factors.
We want globalized manufacturing, well, this is part of that. We don’t make things here anymore.

Here's a link with the Tennessee Governor's proclamation
Among other things, it allows for medicine and medical personnel to cross state lines without the red tape. It allows for a number of other changes that will make things go smoother, if they are needed.
I would expect other states to have similar proclamations.
