Also know his. As much advice that can be given there is about a 100% that it wont help
Every baby is so different. My first born wanted to be held until he fell asleep every night. When we had our second i was about ready to return him because i thought he was broken. Our issue is that we tried doing the exact same thing/things that worked so well with our first. Our second just turned 2 last month. I can count on my fingers the amount of times he has fallen asleep in our arms. He wants no part of that shite. I put him down each night. I will rock him then he shifts and lays his head on my shoulder i know he is ready to be laid down. He will fall asleep 10-15 minutes later. But man our first if you tried putting him down 5 seconds before he nodded off the whole house was going to hear it lol.
My second spent his first 32 days in the NICU and we think that may be why he sleeps the way he does. Because of NICU nurses dont "overhold" them. So maybe he became an independent sleeper because of that?
I want to say we did the "moms on call" sleep schedule.
Good luck, you can get through it. Enjoy it. Enjoy every sweet second of it.

Let that baby fall asleep in your arms and cherish the moment.

My son spent 3 weeks in the NICU. He is an incredible sleeper and I 100% credit them for that. He never needed to be rocked. And you can run a vacuum near his crib without him budging.

It’s not gonna “be a thing” if the baby wants to fall asleep on you at 6 weeks old. That’s what’s its supposed to do at that age. Wanting to be swaddled and held is an instinctual thing for a baby. It’s a feeling of security.
Try and enjoy it. I know its cliche, but hold her while you can because it won’t last forever.

C’mon boosie, a subtle “I have a baby” brag thread?

Merlin Magic Sleep suit saved our lives. Not sure if you can use at six weeks, but once we starting using one, life changed literally overnight.

They could charge triple the price for those things. We had the same experience
12 lbs is when you can put them in it

And if so, how do we get her to sleep in her bed and not in our arms?
These are the moments you really form that bind with your children. Just hold your baby until they're good and asleep and gently lay them down. Yiu may have to stand there and pat their back.
You have plenty of time to disappoint them when they get older.

It probably means she is just starting to realize that LSU will never be this good ever again. tRant will sounds just like her after football season starts.

Try letting the baby sleep in a swing, let the baby sleep where ever the baby sleeps.

Yea we are at 8 lbs 1 oz now at 3 weeks with the latest edition (he was a little early). Trying to pack on some pounds so we can get some damn sleep.

Yea, most people who have one will swear by it, but it is pricy.
I'm patterned to think "I bet it's not that expensive" and usually I'm right, be it cars, or clothes or whatever.
Baby stuff is the one area where I'm almost always wrong
"The snoo is great but it's a little pricey"
"I bet it's not that...holy shite that's ridiculous"

$1295
holy shite is right
I’m convinced I could design some pointless shite and market it as must have for babies and become a multi-millionaire

Let the kid sleep in his car seat. Strap em up in front of the TV and you are good for hours

Load of towels in the dryer, baby in carrier on top

Just checking in now that youngest of 4 is 11 yrs old.
Whoever says you'll miss this time of your baby's life is full of shite.
Hang in there and one day your baby will show some ROI by grabbing you beers from the fridge, washing your car, etc

OK so I am a father of 7. All babies cry from time to time for attention, it is a learned/instinctual survival thing.
What we did with ours was when they were not crying we held them a lot. The thinking was the more we hold them for "no reason" the less they are likely to cry to be held. It seemed to work, all of our children slept in their own beds from day 1 and most were sleeping from 11p to 5a by six weeks or so.

try turning the shower on and sitting in the bathroom with the lights off. The sound of the shower should put the baby to sleep within a few minutes (5-10 min).
You should also try to put the baby down more during the day. The issue is more than likely that the baby sleeps in someone's arms during the day and that has become the preferred method of sleeping.
